Durant to miss remainder of season
- Kuale on CJOB
Mudge was an Argo (played for Als after his Bomber stint). Not sure about Wickman. Nash, Europe, and Clark were all Als. I'm sure there were more on top of that.- Durant to miss remainder of season
CFL Official Feed @CFL 6m BREAKING: @DarianDurant tweets he is undergoing surgery and will likely miss the remainder of theregular season. Details to come. #CFL- Lulay officially out for season
I would have rather played Lulay. Lulay will never be the same. He'll be lucky if he retains sensation in his arm after so many shoulder surgeries. Wonder if B.C. will go with Glenn or go after someone else. Tebowmania Reborn! Who is there to go after this year? Wally has a pretty good track record when it comes to finding QB's. No reason to believe he won't do it again - It could very easily be someone new to the league. Glenn will obviously be there for the foreseeable future in the mean time.- Jason Vega torn MCL?
The competition at defensive line and receiver was abysmal, arguably two of the easier spots to find players along with running back. I'm fine with giving a pass on finding Canadians, that takes time, but literally no one was found at receiver and one guy was found at DL, a guy who has been pretty marginal. Mack found Jeffers-Harris, Carr, Denmark and Matthews in his first 3 seasons, Hopkins, Turner, Vega, Hall, hell even a guy like Kenny Mainor. Yes exactly, in his first three seasons as you said. Walters has had one offseason. On top of that, I'm sorry but if we're calling guys like TJH, Carr, and Mainor finds then we must be pretty desperate. They were guys who showed flashes here and there who left fans wanting more but were unable to deliver. There's a reason those players are no longer in the CFL. Out of all those guys you mentioned, Denmark (who many people were content to let walk last year), Turner, and Vega are the only guys I'd consider finds. Matthews had one good season, and an awful second one, who even when healthy seemed to struggle making the easiest of catches, and if Hall was as special as we like to make him out to be, he'd have a job by now as well. Yes he's a good pure pass rusher, but he's not fundamentally sound as an all round defensive end.- Jason Vega torn MCL?
We were 3-15 last year and the roster was alarmingly bad period. Not all the holes in the roster are going to be filled in one season, considering the group we had last year. It is going to take time to put together a well rounded roster from top to bottom. It may be frustrating but we'll get there. We're already miles ahead of where we were. To imply that Walters "neglected" parts of the roster is foolish. No one could have adequately addressed every position considering the shape we were in last season. It's just not possible.- Lulay officially out for season
Lowell Ullrich @FifthQtr 6m #BCLions say off-season surgery on Travis Lulay has been 'undone'; placed on six-game injured list #CFL- WFP Article targeting O'Shea
I would agree fully... ...Except for the fact that, that's not in the least what he is doing.- Banjo Bowl!
I was tempted to say good luck the rest of the way without a quarterback, but I didn't want to stoop down to his level... Ricky Foley @Foley4Real 1h Just came back from shopping in Winnipeg & talk is still cheap...Get the brooms out #BanjoBowl #Riders- Banjo Bowl!
It wasn't a late hit Tom - again, you're off. Proves what you said last week as well (about the non PI call) that you really don't know what you are talking about. I heard the whistle live. However, none of the players did. I've seen this kind of thing in the past - usually in the NFL the umpire and referee (as they are the ones close to the LOS) will both wave their hands and blow their whistles if the players continue to play - and if a player (QB usually) is hit when they are doing that, they WILL throw the flag for Unnecessary roughness. I heard a whistle but did not see ONE official - and I only heard ONE whistle, until AFTER the hit, then we heard them blowing it again. Too bad for Darian - but he kept playing if had just stopped and stood there chances are he'd be trotting off the field with the rest of his teammates. He kept playing, so did the bombers. It wasn't the CFL's fines moment but it was the OFFICIAL's error, not the players, hence no flag. Late hit - are you smoking crack when you're watching the game? The play is dead when the whistle blows. It doesn't matter who hears it and who doesn't. Hit the QB after the whistle has blown and it should be a roughing play. EVERY SINGLE TIME. BTW: It's Terry, not Tom. Only the large majority of the players didn't hear the whistle, and obviously neither did Bradbury or else he would thrown the flag. Not a difficult concept.- WFP Article targeting O'Shea
What people need to understand is this, and I'm not sure why it hasn't been figured out yet - O'Shea will not call a player or phase out in public. The message you give to the media, and the one behind closed doors are often two entirely different messages.- Kuale on CJOB
Keep digging the grave EJ... Ejiro Kuale @EJKUALE 31s You may not like my comments but they were "facts" football is a team sport it takes more the one phase to win!- Royal Blues
All joking aside I hope you don't take that sign out in public, some bad things could happen to you. We took it into the game and even the Rider fans thought it was hilarious. We put it away as soon as a woman who brought her young son with her asked us to though. Great, keep it classy. I'd suggest the same thing is going to happen at the Banjo Bowl but the lady might be a police officer or a burly father. Surprised the moderators let this image stand when they react so vigilantly to offencive language or spelling errors.- FNF - BC @ Ottawa
Kevin Glenn had his arm broken by Kevin Eiben diving on it trying to get a loose ball. A 300+ pound offensive lineman coming down on a shoulder isn't going to be pretty either.- FNF - BC @ Ottawa
Pretty sure we'd beat B.C. both times even with Lulay playing.- Braley turning into a slumlord for Argos
I always liked Lysko as a commish. Always did what he could under difficult circumstances.- Suber traded to Toronto
What?I dont know if its grammatically correct. Lol.But both players are burried and forgotten and rotting on the depth chart.... well, like dead. lease on life?? I LOLed anyhow.....so great. This part of the thread totally bottled my mind.. That's a mute point. Uhhhhh.. Nooooooo... It's a moo point.. It's like a cow's opinion. It doesn't matter.- Chris Matthews deleted from Seattle PR
Especially when you can get a power back (or any FA back) off the market for cheap at this time of year - Not that I anticipate us making that move. If we were, it would have been done already.- Join our Yahoo NFL Fantasy League!
I'm Bad Newz Kennels- Ticats trade Steve Myddleton to Esks
I think it's amusing how up in arms people get when they see a team acquire a NI o-lineman and wonder how/why we weren't involved without really knowing the quality of said player in question. I understand to a small extent given how our line has performed in some games this year, but it's still amusing none the less.- Esks At Stamps LD Game Day Thread
Hopefully they have the west wrapped up by that time comes, or at least by our second game against them.- Max Hall arrested for shoplifting and cocaine possession

You can expect them to make the right call because the rules CLEARLY state when pass interference should be called. - Kuale on CJOB
