Mr. Perfect

Kyle Walters just said on 1290 it now looks after all that the Steelers will sign Ian Wild after pulling the offer off the table. That being said he also acknowledged the team will try to get him back should it turn out things do definitely fall through.

Mike Kelly added to it. Taman already had this team in a mess when he departed after 2008.

The only bad thing about this trade, and it's a glaring issue quite frankly... No press conference

I read this on twitter this morning too... this one blew my mind.... Getzlaf is good, yes... but that is a ludicrous amount of money to spend on a 3rd rec... Well .. let's be honest here .. cap management has never been Taman's strong point .. can't see how this is going to help that perception .. Insane amount of money for Getzlaf. The fact that before yesterday that Getzlaf was the league's highest paid receiver is a joke.

Kyle Walters being Kyle Walters. Great move to add a pick in a very deep draft was my initial thought as I woke up not too long ago. I may have missed it in my very quick skim of this thread, but I wonder what this means for the likelihood of taking Demski in the draft?

Best part is, the Jets are doing a lot better than just breaking even.

Word was Foley was not happy... According to Brendan Taman. With Emry, he has many years to play yet, is mean and nasty, does take some penalties. Not sure I would so easily make this assumption. With the history of head injuries he has, and the nature of the position he plays there really is no telling how long he will still be in the league. For his sake, hopefully he can stay healthy especially considering the nature of his injuries.

Considering the free agents we have coming in the next two to three years, it's not worth it in my opinion. We can get the bottom six forward we covet for one of our excess defenders at a lot cheaper against the cap.

Pretty sure that has nothing to do with the question considering the business model the team operates under.

Many will be surprised I'm sure given the QB situations in Ottawa and Montreal, nevermind his comments about Dickenson towards the end of the regular season. Good move none the less for the Stamps. I'd be very surprised if both Seattle and New England don't cover the spread. New England has blown out Indy three times in a row under Luck, and Rodgers is far from 100 per cent right now for his game against Seattle.

Darrin Bauming ‏@DarrinBauming 34s35 seconds ago `@renlavoietva: (translated) Perreault has no fracture. However, it is injured and is expected to miss a few games.

Stamps going to Montreal is very similar to Simon going to the Riders at the stage of his career he was win. He may make a play now and again, but in terms of being an elite receiver, those days are gone.

Sure. I could also win 649 this weekend as well. What's your point? He's finished, and has the worst starting QB in the league throwing him the ball. Duron Carter isn't going to be there to bail out that offence anymore. Sure. I could also win 649 this weekend as well. What's your point? I made it! It's that Stamps can still be a very good WR. Yes I do because there's no evidence whatsoever to support that claim. This isn't Fred Stamps from three years ago where he was feared by DB's across the league, and he's going to one of the worst offences in the league - Him going there does not change this.

Shoulder shrug on both counts.

You're entitled to your opinion and so am I. I'm convinced Adrian Peterson is an HGH user.

Oh Marcel, I love you. Don't ever change. Any bandaids we can send them for a young player full of potential??

And this post sums up perfectly the schizophrenic mentality of the average Winnipeg sports fan. Either way too high or way too low.

Interesting how this affects Hall... Farhan Lalji ‏@FarhanLaljiTSN 2m2 minutes ago Mike Benevides has turned down offers from both #Riders & #Bombers to become their DC. Time to focus on family for the year. #CFL

He did indeed. Mr tough on crime of course made a plea deal for a lesser sentence. Funny how that works.

Why no press conference?!?!

gary lawless ‏@garylawless 6m6 minutes ago Can report #bombers are closing in on deal with Richie Hall to become DC. Mike Benevides still in picture but if Hall wants job, likely his gary lawless ‏@garylawless 5m5 minutes ago Contract talks between #bombers and Richie Hall continue. Sure glad that coaching change has made things better in Edmonton....
