Bombers @ Lions: Game Day Thread (07/21/17)
Outscored 42-9 in fourth quarters so far this season. Opposing players saying on national TV you let your foot off the gas. As I said last week, this team is never going anywhere as long as Lapo and Hall are collecting cheques from this organization. They've both been fired MANY times for a reason.

Travis Lulay throwing off his back foot so much, Jay Cutler would be proud.

Something to keep tabs on tonight, and into next week if he doesn't return...- Friday Night Football
Yes it's only four weeks but Calgary does not scare me at all right now. The only reason we lost to them was because we handed the game away. They're not nearly as intimidating as they once were.- 3 stars + HH week 3
Oh I hear ya, don't get me wrong. The concept of a draw isn't lost on me. If you want to run the occasional draw on 2nd and 10, by all means go for it. It's about the situation that I find baffling, same as the decision to throw last night to throw on 2nd and 4 or 5 with just over a minute left- 3 stars + HH week 3
Not sure what was a worse call. That or last week's draw play on 2nd and 10 down 16 with under five minutes left in the game. Lapo gonna Lapo.- 3 stars + HH week 3
I almost felt bad for Ray with all the drops. Almost.- GDT: Toronto @ Winnipeg
Does anyone have a more pointless job at IGF than Caroline Hunter? "The Bombers are in the red zone." in the most monotone voice possible.- GDT: Toronto @ Winnipeg
This team is going nowhere as long as Lapo and Hall are on this coaching staff.- Lock of the Week 4
SJ Green- TORONTO @ OTTAWA / HAMILTON @ SASK.
Sounds like you don't understand the game you're watching. There's a reason why anyone who's been involved with the game at any level will tell you the game is won and lost at the line of scrimmage. It's not a cliche. Dennis versus Fulton is irrelevant. If the other four aren't doing their jobs, regardless of the situation, it doesn't matter how good your left tackle is. All it takes is one weak link to make an offensive line look poor.- TORONTO @ OTTAWA / HAMILTON @ SASK.
Collaros looks how any quarterback would look behind a terrible offensive line.- TORONTO @ OTTAWA / HAMILTON @ SASK.
Has anyone been paying attention to Xavier Fulton tonight? Hamilton left tackle. Absolutely brutal in this game.- Stamps @ Bombers: Game Day Thread
Dude what are you talking about? I thought calling a draw play down 16 points on 2nd and 10 with four and a half minutes left in the game was a great call....?- Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)
What a dumpster fire. And I'm going to pull up a lawn chair, a bowl of popcorn and watch it burn.- Bombers vs Riders GDT
To be fair it was also quite clear when Walby called Bomber games on CBC back in the day that he had a bit of a bias. It's bound to happen when if you try not to show it.- I like Matt Nichols
Given there are starting NFL quarterbacks who miss wide open receivers (It's sports. Mistakes happen shockingly enough), it just goes to show how absolutely clueless this comment is. Players in the CFL are here for a reason. That's not a shot against the league or players, but it's just a fact. You're going to see a lot of mistakes not just by quarterbacks, but at other positions as well because of the quality of players. Idiocy.- Bombers vs Riders GDT
To me, Cuthbert and Suitor simultaneously react. Cuthbert says oh no. Suitor says oh baby. At least that's how I hear it. I think people are grasping for straws when they say Suitor hates the Bombers.- Lock of the Week 3
Messam- Who was our worst coach?
I'm too young to remember Zaleski, but Burke definitely is tops on this list in my opinion. We were better off not even showing up some nights. Berry has no business on this list for the reasons already mentioned. To be honest, as much of a lunatic that he was I don't think Kelly should be on this list either. Had we won the last game of the season against Hamilton we would have made the playoffs.- 3 stars + HH first game
Well considering it was an entirely different scheme that literally had no playbook, it actually does. ☺- I like Matt Nichols
Prior to him coming here I was never a huge Nichols fan and overall I'd say I'm still on the fence about him. However that said, while Lapo's offence can be frustrating at times when he goes conservative, Nichols does a great job of executing it overall. Some quarterbacks fit well in certain schemes. I'd encourage anyone to look at Nichols career stats before coming to Winnipeg. They're very average at best. That said, if I recall correctly his touchdowns to interceptions last season were 19-11. Add to the fact he went 4-1 in those stats last night and you can clearly see there is something in this offence that allows him to be successful.- 3 stars + HH first game
Whipping boy for some. What people tend to forget is the last time he was in a starting role, our defensive coordinator was Gary Etcheverry. With his...."scheme" or whatever you want to call that joke of a defence we ran that season, it didn't really paint an accurate picture of what Hurl is capable of.- Bomber Blitz
We did just fine generating pressure. Making the tackle when we get there, not so much. - BC LIONS @ HAMILTON TIGER-CATS ?
