Nurse is very very good. His contract is absurd and WAY more than he should be making but it WAS the going rate at the time. While not a lock, I'd think he would be in the running for the Top 9 on a Canada Only team. As has been mentioned, the issue is goaltending. What happened to our factory that produced crazy french guys that were extremely good goalies???

The music industry has changed. Manitoba still pumps out a ton of talent (I would argue it's more in the "Country" music world these days, with about 75% of that being indigenous artists) but Manitoba has a ton of music and musicians. For my money, William Prince is one of the most talented artists Manitoba has ever produced. He's Canada's version of Chris Stapleton. Also, The Tragically Hip never gave one single solitary **** about breaking into the US. Downie, the primary songwriter, was as proud a Canadian as you will ever find. They had their following in the US (mostly along the eastern seaboard) but they were perfectly content being Canada's answer to REM....

It's about the only thing making me happy this CFL offseason.

Faj managed exactly 6 points....... on 2 FGs...... during the regular season, against us. Faj is not good..... Faj is not copmetent. That game is a permanent blight on the Bombers organization.

couple of big spiels on this weekend... the Dekalb in Morris, and then some kinda mixed doubles (fart noises) thing in the city.... a bunch of top curlers (the ones not out in Penticton for a big men's WCT event) are all hanging out at the Fort Rouge...

Faj is worse than useless. Career 3rd stringer cosplaying a starter. The fact that he accomplished what he did on November 19th is an embarrassment on the Bombers organization forever. We will never live this down. It's like the Losers 13th Man debacle for us ....

I have never heard a single negative thing about Bedard from anyone. Strange. The only thing I would say is that the "New McDavid" thing is overblown. The kid is really good and has a lethal shot, but he's on the smaller side and isn't the total package that McJesus is. Still, going to be an elite NHL talent....

We definitely have a MACK backer already in either Cole or Wilson. Bighill could be rotational or slide over to WIL I'm sure. Would hate to see him finish his career elsewhere... Someone compared him to Harris, but I think they're different situations. Call it "different personalities" maybe.... But I'm not sure how welcome in the room Harris was toward the end. I think Bighill still commands a lot of respect from his teammates and would be welcomed back.

Buck and our OL could be very good for Dane. Thought he looked like his old self in limited reps last year. I'd be down with that.

Again this is very common knowledge and came up often during his last contract negotiation. He can do his work online and doesn't need to be in Winnipeg. He has achieved a lot of designations (??) in the wealth management world and spends a lot of time on it. He's on his last CFL contract and wants to go out a winner. He'll play somewhere in 2024, and hopefully finishes his career in Winnipeg. He's an extremely valuable guy, on and off the field.

"proposed" merger at this point, I believe.... it's apparently caught up in all kinds of snags. Still expecting to have some kind of season in 2024, but right now it's a **** ton of paperwork, apparently.

it's extremely well known that Jake is a real estate agent in the maritimes...... he's got plenty of post-CFL work. Friend of mine was at an event last night where he was the guest speaker... he's quite famous/popular out that way. Could definitely see him hanging 'em up..... possibly Miller and Benson, as well. Lots of guys nearing 40...

couple of things... -I think it's getting harder and harder to convince players to come north... they're going to wait for NFL PR spots or maybe even the USFL/XFL league.... so it's tougher finding new talent to bring in -Matthew Schiltz is a poor man's Dakota Prukop......and I don't particularly care for Dakota Prukop.

The Sinbad/Shazam thing has been going around for at least 10 years... maybe longer. I think I first saw something online about it in the late 00s....

had a complicated history within the Winnipeg music scene. He just wasn't cut out for life on the road, though they tried a couple times. Originally a Guess Who member (there was short overlap with both he and Burt in the band together) and he did sing leads on their first national single, a cover of "Shakin' All Over". He eventually quit because life on the road just wasn't for him... stayed around Winnipeg teaching music instead. Later, when Randy was regrouping after leaving TGW, and was working on early versions of BTO (Brave Belt, etc) Chad was one of the first to come on board with him... but unfortunately that didn't last either. Regardless, you talk to anyone who was a part of the scene back then (certainly not me... this is a good 15-20 years before I was born, but I've read all the books...) and he was as talented as anyone going at that time. Winnipeg was just a HOT BED of musical talent back in those days...

this is a very famous thing people talk about online. Everyone claims to remember it, but it never happened. There's a name for the phenomenon (escapes me now) but I swear it comes up once a week online.

Lol at Losers trolls rolling up here all cocky now because "all their troubles are over!!" now...... hilariums. I can't wait for next summer when nothing has changed and they're getting routinely spanked and fans continue to stay away from the toilet bowl in droves....
