Burmistrov said he'd never play for Uncle Claude again, but apparently has no beefs with Maurice and, for what it's worth, his agent says he's more than willing to play for the Jets next year.
Burmistrov might be completely worthless right now, but I'm not sure Winnik is worth the 2nd. There'd have to be something else coming from the Leafs...
Exactly. Walters offers $150k. Desjardins probably counters at $350k.Aside from reading Rider forum's why do people have this impression of Desjardins? The Bomber's won 5 free agent auctions, did they pay too much? After all they beat Ottawa all 5 times.
Taman has the highest paid Canadian receiver by a mile, Popp has highest paid receiver and Wally is paying huge for a pair of LB's yet Desjardins is the only GM ruining the league with out of this world contracts? I don't get it.
Can't say for sure as there's no evidence that Desjardins was after any of the players that the Bombers signed. Ottawa signed SirVincent Rogers before the Bombers signed Bryant so it looks like he was their priority for Import O-lineman. Some comments from Walters suggested that this was also the Bombers grading of the two. Anyone know what $$ Rogers signed for?
Heard Rogers got $140k per season. Bryant got $160k. Rogers was seen as more attractive if the two because of perceived value. In my opinion Walters ended up getting amazing value from Bryant.
I honestly wouldn't of complained if we paid 200K for Bryant.
Yeah totally agreed.
I had the expectation of 200k, and coming below that seemed like a huge steal to me...
This is exactly what I want to know. Because unless you're the blindest homer, you have to think things didn't work as perfectly as Cameron wants everyone to believe.
Again, my original post here said "I get why he did it....but it's still lame"
What would be cool is to have a fly on the wall reporter there who can tell you what REALLY went down, not just some Blue and Gold coloured account of things.
This, exactly. I get why he has to put so much homer spin on it, but it makes for a boring read. The essence of drama is conflict. Don't gloss over the SVR To OTT thing...tell me why it sucked and how you fixed it with Plan B. But again, I get why you can't do that either...
The problem is the people judging Willy by the injured part of the year. The healthy part of his year, he was dynamite. If they keep him clean, he'll have a great year. He's worth every penny they give him when they get around to it.
I honestly don't know what Bergenheim brings to the table for the Jets. This feels like a "why bother?" kinda thing. If you just wanna move Postma, I'd rather take a 3rd rounder or something...
Myers is a great hockey player, and it's laugh out loud funny some of the things people are saying on here to justify their own preconceived notions. Just about any team in the league would love to have him.
Yes, absolutely this....a good point, actually. It's only good if it's funny. If it's lame, no thanks.
Oh I don't know. Seth Rogan and Norm MacDonald seem to have made careers out of it.
Don't you dare speak ill of Norm McDonald. Dirty Work is tremendously funny. Never mind that Rogen has done a lot of funny stuff, too.
at it's best it was pretty ******* epic, but that was a long time ago and a lot of those posters don't do the message board thing anymore.
Back when men were men, dames were broads, and you could tell a moron that he was a moron without fear of repercussion.
Strictly an ego thing for him. He sees himself as the biggest WBB fan of all time, and his owning the site is somehow "proof" of that. It's got him on CBC Radio a few times as a guest "Bomber Fan Expert" during some shows. "Well, this guy runs *THE* Bomber fansite, so he MUST be the biggest Bomber fan there is..." That's why he has the site...
Apparently the Oilers roster is massively depleted. They're already without some of their biggest offensive threats, but now Gordon, Hendricks and Klinkhammer are out and Keith Aulie might have to play forward. Yikes.
