I was always told there was another generation of Ralph coming up and they were the best of the bunch so far...

Anyone who takes a hard stance (one way or the other) on Ezra Levant is an idiot. It's not serious, and I guarantee you it's not 100% how he really feels. It's all about eliciting a reaction...no matter how you get it, get people talking...

Man, I said this to 17to85 this morning on FB chat and he lit me up. I really thought Bucknor was solid if unspectacular last year. He more than held his own, and I'd have no problem with starting him again this year, if need be. Thought he was a really pleasant surprise last season.

bah, you and I both know that income splitting is the conservative notion of "Women are supposed to stay home, cook and clean and pop out babies!" so they created an incentive to keep women outta the workforce and stay at home doing "Mommy" things. Such an old school conservative "Focus On The Family" idea...

that's interesting, 'cause I know that in the Saddledome, anyhow, it's an independant company that runs the concessions and they charge the same no matter the event. $7 chicken fingers and fries...best deal goin'.... -
I think that the anti-Harper crew have to play any card they have in the deck. In 2011 all I heard was that Harper was a Nazi who was going to make abortion and gay marriage illegal and stack the Supreme Court with right wing judges. Well none of that happened. They can't really say their guy is going to do a better job of managing the economy (well they can try, but no one is going to believe it) so all they have left is the fear card. According to the polls not too many are buying this. This new security bill is a bit of a head-scratcher. I don't now why Harper is doing this right now, but I guess I have nothing to hide so I don't really care. I for sure fall to the right line of centre politically but the having nothing to hide rational is IMO a poor and dangerous one. This is a quote from Benjamin Franklin, but I think an appropriate one. Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. The problem is that the Liberals and Conservatives both support the spying bill, governments always want more power to spy. And even Mulcair said today he's more or less in favour of it. Apparently only the hippie Greens are agin' it...

The only way people are going to be out of jobs in Alberta is if people start freaking out for no reason and make stupid knee jerk reactions.

More importantly he's no Jonathan Toews.

Harper and the version of CPC he's run absolutely do terrify me. Not sure Justin is the right guy, but Steve needs to go...

Welcome to life at Pinawa Secondary. So many over the years...I'm not even sure what the grand total is. During my time, I believe there were 4, from 1992-1996. During my mom's time, in the late 60s/early 70s, there were 5 in 5 years. At one point in time, Pinawa had the highest suicide rate per capita in Canada, with only 1500 people (ish) and the sheer unheard of volume of suicide. Sigh.

This is basically what I'm hanging on to. Doer was great...the province was great. Selinger just ****** everything up. The NDP, as a party, aren't necessarily the boogey man, as Doer's NDP proved. I'm taking a wait-and-see approach to all this. We desperately needed a radical change.

Okay, I'll be the guy: He's a giant *****. He complains and begs for calls all the time. They call him "Palms Up Crosby" for a reason. Bottom lip always out. Skates constantly with his head down, and when he gets clobbered for it, everyone else is the villain. Bullshit.

Blue Bombers acquire defensive back in trade with Calgary

The point: MOS knows NIs playing the MLB position. Sam Hurl is not likely to be that guy...MOS knows better. -

Well, you'd better let MOS know, 'cause that guy doesn't know a damn thing about NIs starting at the MLB spot........... -
Potential for him to be a big part of things this year, even as a rotational guy and ST. He's a quality NI.
-
Yeah! Thats him! Safety/WIL, I believe.....do you seriously not remember Graig Newman? Was a really huge deal that we picked him up last off season and was projecting to be our starting Safety (??) and was a fairly significant blow when he got hurt....

95% of the criticism he gets, I don't understand at all. He gets the most attention from the media, so it comes with the territory. People criticized Gretzky & Lemieux as well for being floaters, whiners, etc. It will happen with McDavid too. Could you imagine how much hate Gretzky would have gotten if he'd played in the age of the internet and social media? And mighta been even worse if cell phones had existed in those days, considering the amount of public partying those kids did back then around YEG...

This, 100%, is something that's very important for me. I'm in NO WAY a comic book nerd, and have a really hard time with anything "out there" that requires any kind of nerd imagination. All the stuff in the Thor movies is not for me, and Guardians of the Galaxy was really not for me. I love Captain America because it's grounded...it's reality, in a lot of ways. The biggest way AoU slipped for me was being a little too fantasy-sci fi-nerdy....
