Edmonton is the definition of smoke and mirrors. With a full, healthy roster, they're a damn good team, for sure. The roster we're going to see tomorrow? We damn well better beat that, or we're going to have to re-evaluate some things and this place will be ugly for a week. Now, having said that, I fully believe we'll win tomorrow...

Took a bit of a haircut, all things considered. Going to be a hell of a player, but with 2 guys eating 21mm in cap space (the same hit as Kane/Toews - 10.5mm/each) it'll be tough for Chiarelli to field a competitive team around them. Have to find a bunch of value contracts that can perform at a high level....a lot of which will have to be stand out draft picks. Gonna be relying heavily on ELCs...

was never a Hnidy fan, but do enjoy how much Manitoba connection there is to Vegas. They are absolutely going to be one of my favourite teams going forward. Jets, Oilers, Leafs, Hawks, and now we can add Vegas....will be fun to follow!

For what it's worth, I agree with Iso. It's just annoying. As far as injuries... We don't ever get any reports. You won't know anything until the first practice of the week when we see who's there and who isn't. It's the same every week, so no sense in asking unless you just annoyingly and arrogantly start a bunch of nonsense threads which contribute nothing relevant.

Thomas has been good for at least a couple years now....this idea that people think he's somehow "lesser", because they see him as a slower, white, CIS guy from Nova Scotia, is beyond absurd at this point...

I don't think we're going to beat many teams easily this year...especially not West teams. I don't expect us to thump the Esks, even with all those injuries. It'll be a close game, and as long as we have more points when it's done, I'm going to be happy...
