I'd be shocked if they haven't been working on that for awhile now anyhow. They likely knew the extensions were there (just making the announcement now) and were working all along. 'Cause Walters still had a year left on his last deal, anyhow, right?

Really surprised this wasn't made into a bigger deal. Thought there'd be a huge presser and stuff, but I suppose that's not MOS's way. Not flashy...put the work boots on and get back at 'er. At any rate, this is FANTASTIC news on both fronts...

Comedy Network did the full run on Canada Day this past summer, I believe, so somebody at the networks has broadcast rights to it.....you can bet that new content will only be available on Crave, tho...they're doing everything they can to sell that turd of a service.

This....seems like they might be leaving some potentially good candidates by the wayside because they're so desperate to keep Chappy. As Dave says, "if they want him so bad, why not make him GM, too?"

Here's a little tidbit from it, that will come in handy to help quell future debates: The Bombers haven’t formally retired numbers, but the following are officially no longer available to players: 11 – Worn by hall of famer Ken Ploen, the face of this franchise during his playing days from 1957-67 and later into his retirement. Ploen also wore 89, as did many players of that era who played both sides of the ball. 28 – Jeff Nicklin was a decorated Bomber from 1934-40 before becoming a decorated soldier in World War II, passing away on the battlefield in 1945. The winner of the Most Outstanding Player Award in the West Division is annually presented with the Jeff Nicklin Memorial Trophy. 75 – As a tribute to Tommy Lumsden, who played end, defensive end, tackle and guard for the Bombers from 1951-54 but passed away at the age of 25 in a Winnipeg hospital while suffering a gall bladder attack near Beausejour. The Tommy Lumsden Trophy is presented annually to the Bombers’ top Canadian player. we have WAY more die hards than the Riders, that stick with the team through good and bad, and the Riders have a lot more passive fans who cheer when times are good....

The vast majority of their so-called "fan" base...

How quickly we forget.....trust me, a few more losing seasons and they'll really falter. Before 2007, it was NOT like that in Saskatchewan...

He won't be an FA.....technically he is because he adjusted his contract (same with Stanley Bryant) but he'll absolutely be back next year. Signed a 2 year contract and just helped the team by renegotiating the terms a bit this year, to help with the cap...
