As long as the younger kid doesn't get hurt again this year, I really think Jake will go back to the limited reps. He only played so much last year because the kid got hurt and they were absolutely committed to a NI DT for whatever reason.

And not even that much... They're way further from the mountains than Calgary is. Edmonton is very much like Winnipeg, but with oil money. And our rivers are better than the North Sask. And we have a Forks... Eff em.

Edmonton is Winnipeg with money, plain and simple. I do vastly prefer Winnipeg because I prefer The Shield to The Rockies, but Edmonton is without a doubt my favourite of the two major Alberta cities.

We might have to hang on to that when Osh (or whoever it is) makes those curious decisions with limited DL, heavy starter reps for Jake, etc...

A city of 750k vs a city of nearly 2m. There just isn't the financial appetite for that much hockey in Winnipeg. No way the city could support all 3 leagues. They're barely able to do the two pro hockey league's, never mind major junior. Winnipeg just doesn't have the money, both corporate and public, that bigger centres do.

Maybe they can use some of the money to pay people to show up to the games.... Also, an interesting choice here...

Not sure what it's zoned as, but that would be the perfect spot for a food/drinks spot. The campus traffic plus regular people in the area would definitely use it a lot.

I personally enjoy the new stadium setup and the travel to and from is so easy. We used to drive to Stone Angel and pre game there, then walk to the stadium. Now, we take the rapid transit from our little place just off McGillvary and that takes like 10 minutes. So easy to do. Game Day Experience in Winnipeg is absolutely top-notch and puts other CFL markets to shame My wife friggin LOVES the food there....

I know that there's context needed here, but go back to the coaches between Ritchie and Osh, and tell yourself circa....whatever year...... That in 2025, the Bombers had won the West 4 years running, regularly decimated the Riders, went to the GC 5 years in a row... Won 2 of those GCs....... ....and there's a call to fire the HC.....
