  1. Peterson looked good in the Oly pre trials event and has been solid in Tier 2 events on your. Lots of upside with that team. Einar will be Team Canada at the Scotties because Homan is in Italy and declined the spot, so we'll have at least 2 teams at Scotties and possibly 3 as Einar's former Wild Cars spot is open, which might end up going to Lawes, who might (??) be the next highest ranked team. Looking forward to the Scotties next month... And the Select will be at the start of Feb, as well, so not far off.
  2. Between 173-196k depending on bonuses achieved....
  3. Walters is not any kind of "problem" on this team. He's not perfect, and nobody is, but I get such a chuckle when I read some takes about him being useless.
  4. This was likely before the implementation of a "CFL" back when the GC was just a challenge trophy for all kinds of teams (mostly Eastern) who always had to play off against Toronto, who got an automatic bye every year. I don't know this for a fact, but I would not be surprised if there was an Ottawa Senators FC back in the very early days. Similar to Winnipeg being the Pegs. What is odd is that they don't list all the variations of the Toronto teams over the years...
  5. It sucks but... **** happens. They were #1 in the whole league last year. They can't be THAT far off.
  6. Apparently Madani on Riders Sports Cage this week saying his hot take for 2026 is that the Bombers will be awful, will deal Collaros to Toronto and Chad Kelly will be off to Ottawa.... For what Madani's takes are worth.
  7. 100% same boat. When he stepped up and pasted the rule changes he made a new fan in me.
  8. Haven't gone winless in 8 since since Atlanta... Yikes. I'm not a huge hockey guy, so this doesn't bother me so much but jeeze...
  9. So I got a belated holiday present from a friend.... One of those "I Was One Of The 12,321" shirts from that infamous playoff game. Question for the octogenarians around here... What year was that? I would have been really young at the time... I'm thinking it was around '84 right? Anyhow, got that along with a copy of Vince Leah's Blue Bombers History book from 1979. Looking forward to diving into that...
  10. I don't ask for much, but I'd like to ask for this...
  11. I don't know what more Scheifele could do to make this team. It's insane to me especially when you see who made th team ahead of him. Embarrassing.
  12. If you've never seen Cedar Rapids, he's absolutely fantastic in that.
  13. And it's been said over and over again that Jake is one of the smartest guys in the room, especially the Xs and Os... Just because he can't do the thing at the same level anymore doesn't mean he can't teach things. I have high hopes for him... Starting at a lower level assistant coach position is perfect.
  14. Reinebold was just a bad coach with a bad program. Kelly proved to be a terrible human being, blinded by wild arrogance.
  15. Merry Christmas, fam! Here's to a return to glory in 2026!
  16. Sanchez isn't GREAT but he's more polished than both Milt and Henoc. You can tell he's got more experience speaking on camera and trying to communicate an idea. Most of th we guys just are not good communicators. You can tell they have an idea, but they just can't spit it out properly.
  17. I can't remember the last time I saw a team go Penthouse to Outhouse this fast. Yes they overachieved last year but still... This is wild and absolutely agree they shouldn't be this bad.
  18. His QB school that he runs in the US.....?
  19. My buddies and I (somewhat jokingly) talk **** about him every time we see him on the panel for this very reason...
  20. The Jets are absolutely not going anywhere... That's patently absurd. A tank and rebuild could absolutely be lived through no problem.
  21. From Our Man Tait in his latest piece.... Worth your click, as always: https://www.bluebombers.com/2025/12/22/__trashed/ "...And as for the decision to add Thomas to his staff, O’Shea said this about one of the most-respected people in the building — not just on the roster: “Love the guy. Can sit here right now and picture him hoisting the Cup in 2019. Extremely smart, passionate, good leader. A guy that just loved being around. There was a time where because of a contract issue he came late to training camp by I don’t know how many days, not much. But the whole practice stopped and everybody went nuts that he walked onto the field. “That right there speaks volumes about what everybody thinks about him. Not just from the players’ perspective, but in the entire organization.”
  22. I never even had an issue with Jake as a player, in terms of talent... He was just used far too much in later years. In his younger days he was more than serviceable. In more recent years he was fine in a limited capacity but Prime Doug Brown minutes was asking way too much.
