Yeah, if I was living anywhere near the city, I'd get Dub seasons in a HEARTBEAT to go along with Bombers seasons...no question. It's phenomenal hockey...and the thought of Wpg getting a Mem Cup at some point....hooooo....that's good stuff.

once they get that barn built for them out on McGillvary west, it's going to be a GREAT place to see a game. Like a much fancier version of the old Selkirk Rec Complex (I still remember when that was first built and how nice it was). As a broadcasting nerd, I'm really excited who's going to pick up the rights to broadcast their games and cover them full time (I would think TSN will have their hands full, but maybe....and OB is always an option...)

I honestly think the Dub will do fine in Winnipeg...I think this is more of a blow to the Moose. I know I personally would rather watch Dub than A....

the best thing about this piece, is Dunk seemingly only posted it to make the point that Jones was desperate to get out of Riderville at any cost....had zero interest in being there. That oughta make some heads explode...

It's interesting that we haven't said a word about our coaching staff for 2019. Every other team ( I think...) has had an announcement about the coaching staff, and virtually everyone has had to make changes of some sort because of the new management SMS. Hopefully we're not losing anyone, anyhow...

this is an apt post.....you almost NEVER see someone step into the CFL and tear it up in their first year. It takes at least a year of seasoning before they're ready to go. A proven vet receiver, someone you know can get it done, makes way more sense. Still, always hope we can recruit SOMEONE that will eventually be ready one day...

I'm doing my best to be polite about it, but she's the weak link on that team. Birchard should be the third and find someone else to play front end.

Fart noises. Sweeting let them down today. They'll still get into Scotties by virtue of the wildcard play-in game...

I love Dressler but he can't play 18 games anymore. I would love to have him back at a discounted rate.

@AJonSports Hearing the REDBLACKS are about to sign DB Chris Randle. Spent the last 5 seasons in Winnipeg. CFL All-Star in 2017. #CFL #RNation

MOS has a job for life, as far as I'm concerned. The winning will come...he's doing all the right things so far. Really hope they lock him up long term.

that looks just absolutely gawd awful....

Shayne Gauthier re-ups this morning, as per Twitter....

Craig Dickenson to be announced as Riders new HC this afternoon....

The Bombers PR OL is better than some teams starting OL in the CFL......

Yeah, that's not a new theory...that was being bandied about last weekend. And definitely makes sense...

having a quality OC would actually help them attract a QB in FA, which I think is their primary goal...without a proper QB, it really doesn't matter who the OC is.

I actually believe Lapo really did want that job. He owns a home in Regina, and (for some reason) really enjoys working there. I truly believe he was really angry, but I also believe he's a true pro and is back to being excited about the upcoming season. He was posting some really nice stuff on Twitter yesterday about how great it was to have Mike Couture back in the fold this year...

Not super relevant, but it's something during a slow news time...... https://www.chrisd.ca/2019/01/23/dayna-spiring-winnipeg-football-club-board-chair/?fbclid=IwAR3rX-QKgaonIFXgUM7BzoIHy-kOeXvgTg9Z4EvVh_oWjkr3DBu0_FR8aHE WINNIPEG — Dayna Spiring, head of Economic Development Winnipeg, has been named the board chair of the Winnipeg Football Club. Spiring’s appointment makes her the first woman in WFC history to be named chair of the board of directors. “Dayna has been a great addition to the board since her arrival in 2015, and there is no better candidate to take on the role of board chair,” said Jeff Martin, Spiring’s predecessor. “Dayna has been a trailblazer throughout her entire career, and it is fitting that she become the club’s first female chair.” Martin will continue to serve on the board as past chair. Prior to joining Economic Development Winnipeg, Spiring was the former chief strategy officer and general counsel with the Canadian Wheat Board. She currently serves as a director for Winpak Ltd. and CancerCare Manitoba Foundation and has previously served on the boards of Manitoba Hydro and Farmers Edge.
