I think the only thing Ambrosie could have done better is communicate. Even if you can't say anything because you're at the mercy of government regs, at least say that. It looks better than just saying nothing, which makes it look like you're hiding.

You beat me to it. I just love the Fire PaMo crew so much...

they don't need a back-up, 'cause Jesus Sprinkles is gonna go 18-0, throw for 10k yards, 60TDs vs 0 INTs........

I 100% agree with SF......I think we'll see un-retirements once things are rolling again....

As bad as things look right now, I still feel really confident in a season starting around Canada Day. Whether that's the actual regular season starting then or just TC, I think we'll see players in camp and ready to go by mid summer. As fast as the cases are rising right now, they're going to drop equally fast once the vaccines take hold..

not a HUGE deal, but interesting......

I don't buy that "a significant number of people want 4 down football"....bullshit. A significant number of people want the NFL. There's a difference there. It's not like they want the NFL because it's 4 downs...they want it because of the hype. People who only watch NFL aren't suddenly going to start watching the CFL because it's 4 downs. I refuse to believe that.

Not sure that Price being out is in the Jets favour. Allen is good and at times better this season.

regarding this...I'm trying to find the document that I saw online, but I *DID* see a letter from Alberta CMOH Deena Hinshaw to the Alberta Rodeo and Race Association regarding attendance at outdoor events for this year. Alberta is planning on 15% capacity for End of May (up to 500 people) and increasing every 2 weeks following that, to "full attendance, no cap" by July. So that is certainly their PLAN.....we'll see how the vaxx-ing goes, and how out of hand the variants get. As of today, Alberta announced that the British variant is the dominant strain in Alberta, and that if you test positive, you are to assume it's the UKV. It is 99% of all confirmed cases and is currently raging out of control in this province. Soooooooooo.......... we'll see how that outdoor attendance thing goes......

I've always considered the Canadian Olympic Curling Trials to be the most prestigious curling bonspiel there is, and by far the most difficult to win. I know the athletes would likely say the Olympics themselves because, as you said, the pomp of it all, but the Trials is by far the toughest curling bonspiel there is.

Not sure about how far out, but my mom just became eligible yesterday...either phoned or went online....and got the jab same day at Selkirk. I am amazed it happened that quickly. Also got my step-dad in for the 20th. Extremely thankful for this.

'97.... good shot, but really a "Poor Man's Version" of the Jones in-off....and I think it was actually the Oly Trials, rather than the Olys themeselves...which, let's face it, is the more difficult competition anyhow, right? **** the Olys...good luck just getting out of this country.

Regarding "adding more restrictions": a word of caution from the west....... businesses (a large percentage) have told the government to shove it (essentially) and are staying open regardless of incoming restrictions. Mostly restaurants and fitness facilities that are fighting the rules. So far, Alberta Health Services have been lax in actually enforcing the rules. It took from December 17th until this past Tuesday for them to finally do something about the rogue church near Edmonton. Not sure what they'll do about all the restaurants and gyms that are claiming that they'll stay open unless physically shuttered by police and AHS. Hopefully MB is more rational and will just play by the rules a little bit longer!

I've gone to double masking any time I'm in a business for any reason. I have the normal disposable as my inner layer and then a non-disposable filtered one as my outer layer. Definitely feel more comfortable/confident with this system now...

AB is 43% variants right now... We'll be well over 50 by the end of the month... May even be close to 100. Just bonkers how fast it transmits...
-
I am not sure what the general eligibility age is right now, but for anyone with "underlying conditions" (for which I fortunately/unfortunately qualify) it's now 16+....

there's no question the 3rd wave is coming for you guys....and it's gonna be bad. They're already into a triage situation in Ontario, and I'm certain Alberta will be by the end of the month. The second any of you are eligible, book your shot. In the meantime, stay home and stay safe, folks. I'm booked in to get my first dose on the 24th and I can't f***ing wait.... bring on the passports.

yikes....probably doesn't quite fit with The Trinity's "Nice Guys Who Can Also Play Football" system, eh??

There's two things that have me disheartened..... 1) They left patios open. Hinshaw has been saying for weeks that the variants transmit very easily even outdoors, and when you get idiot drunks on a patio with no masks on, it's still dangerous. 2) Already seeing a LOT of restaurants refusing to abide the rules and saying they're going to stay open no matter what. Up here in Rural BamaBerta, a group of local restaurants, led by our favourite Pub, is banding together to publicly flout the rules and stay open. Seeing AHS finally shut down the church gives me hope that maybe they'll start actually using their power to shut down those who refuse to abide by the rules. Because the only way we get through the next couple months (until mass vaccinations start) is with everyone pulling together....

Wittman's two best calls, in order: Donovan Bailey's record-breaking sprint in '96 Atlanta Olys and Jennifer Jones In-Off to win the '05 Scotties..... I get shivers to this day, listening to those clips on YouTube

Not sure either he or PLD will ever earn the big payday but man I'd sure love to get Laine back. Jets definitely still need him.
-
Ehhhh "restrictions"... Not much changing and it definitely won't help the overall situation. We're gonna lose a lot more people before the vaccines take hold. Thankfully, for me, new vaxx rules make me eligible in AB tomorrow. Hoping I can get an appointment booked tomorrow morning...

I tweeted at the club awhile back for that...I mean I'd gladly pay for that one!
