Anyone who says the Swaggerville team was their favourite, wasn't around for the 12 In A Row 2001. Now THAT was a lot of fun, and more similar to an Osh team. Papa Dave didn't let anyone get too fat and sassy. Maybe because I was 21, but hooooeeeeeeee did we have a lot of fun watching games that year...

That logo.......designed by a respected indigenous graphic designer........is spectacular. Also of note, the orange jerseys that the team is wearing during warm-ups will be auctioned off after the game for charities that get indigenous youth into sports. I'm hoping to bid on one myself....great jersey, and even better cause. I think it would be in Edmonton....a lot more confidence with a home game. But honesty, you could say every game from here on out is a trap game...

If this game wasn't at IGF East, I'd be a bit concerned.......but I feel pretty confident about keeping the Elsks down at home. It's a brutal place for other teams to play...

I truly felt good for Knuckles after GC107, after having to polish so many turds for nearly 30 years.... was so nice to see him get a ring from the team. Man, he earned it...

if there was a stadium capable of hosting it, it might be interesting to try some games out there, just to see if it'd work. Like Mississauga or something.....just test it out with a game here and there, and see what the response is like.

literally just finished reading the Bachman story on Twitter just before I popped over here. Incredible. I've read 3 of RB's books and was quite familiar with the story of the lost Gretsch. Insane that they actually found it. I roll my eyes at this musician in Tokyo essentially holding it for ransom....get bent. But glad they worked something out anyhow...

Goaltending is by far Canada's biggest problem....and if Carey Price is out long-term, then we're really screwed. Who the hell does Canada have for goaltenders? Chris Driedger? Yikes.

The Green and Gold cherished Joey’s presence around the team, and respect the important role he played with the organization for decades. Joey Moss’ nephew Adam Walker also released the following statement through the team: The Edmonton Elks always included Joey within the organization until the day he was no longer able to work. The Elks continue to support Joey and his legacy. The 50/50 in 2020 raised nearly half a million dollars for the Joey Moss Memorial Fund. This will be an annual event. The Elks have also hired two individuals from the Winnifred Steward Employment Program. They have been an outstanding organization and have always treated Joey with the highest respect.
