Rest vs Rust...... It's a fine line.

this. They all ran on Lowest Common Denominator.....nobody ever went poor betting on the stupidest among us.

I don't want people just coming and going anymore, like it was pre-pandemic. I sincerely hope there's some form of "You must be vaccinated past this point"..... this India Variant is no joke, and is about to **** us all really hard in about 2 months from now. The last thing I want is people just coming and going across the border...

In order to make plans, they need to make a decision probably in the next week or so. If they don't know within that frame, then they'll have to push it back. This definitely can't be left to the last minute. But I definitely agree that you can't blame the league when it's the virus that's at issue here. The provinces are trying to make the best decisions based on what the virus is doing, and the league has to go with what each province is doing. It's really all about the virus right now, and nobody knows what it'll do next...

I didn't get AZ for my first dose, but every independent study says 12 weeks for maximum efficacy. Definitely each to their own, but I know I'd absolutely be trusting that science.

Habs gonna have 2500 in the stands Saturday... Even that small amount will have an impact. They'll make some noise and make an impact.

Starting to get a bit concerned about the newest variants which are starting to take hold over in Europe. Apparently the vaccines only have about 33% protection against them, and they're seeing the numbers climb back up again in the UK. Provinces like AB that aren't preparing for that at all could be in for some scary times this summer and into fall...

I think it's a fair question to ask, but not one that will even be broached until things are looking MUCH better in MB. When the hospital system is under siege as it is, things just look really really bad for the province, and it would be a tough ask for the Jets to try and get fans in the arena. Now, what if the Jets advance past the Leafs and a month from now things look WAY better..? Are other teams going to be allowed to cross the border to play up here? Will the Jets have to play in a US bubble? The world could look wildly different (better) one month from now... Having said all that, I saw a clip of Chipper talking about this subject earlier in the season, and he said they have never had any intention of having fans in the stands at any point this season. They are fully ready to take on whatever financial burden is necessary in order to make sure everyone is safe.

some fun light reading as we dream about the upcoming season: https://www.cfl.ca/2021/05/27/ferguson-anything-possible-collaros-centre/ Enjoy, fam!

Good for MB... It's exactly what Alberta SHOULD HAVE announced yesterday. The smart thing to do. Instead, we go Full DeSantis..... Sigh.

depending on how things go over the next month, I think I'd feel comfortable outdoors at McMahon (or IGF or whatever...) if it was limited capacity, masks mandatory, proof of vaccine..... but I don't think they'll do that. If AHS gives them the go-ahead, they'll run it as normal to try and maximize profits. Absolutely gross.

Kenney said he wants McMahon and Commonwealth full capacity in July. That was a quote from him when asked after today's presser. Oi vey.

AB announces 3-Phase re-opening plan, with all restrictions lifted and return to pre-pandemic life across the province by June 28th.................................
-
so for what it's worth....Jason Kenney announced Alberta's "re-opening" plan, and they want all restrictions (all!) lifted by the end of June. According to their plan, Alberta will hit 70% vaccinated by June 28th and they'll fully lift all restrictions and go back to pre-pandemic life. It's obviously insane, but I suppose it's good news for the CFL....??

What a piece of ****. Sounds like the typical fancy stats ******* who's never played the game and is just a nerd fan who wants to hang with the jocks. Gtfo. The Athletic LOVES guys like that...

What the **** is True Talent??

Thank Christ... Long overdue.

Oilers have been in cap hell for awhile because of Chiarelli. This summer is supposed to be the first time Holland will have space to actually make some real changes.

IMO..... Reasons Jets Beat The Oilers: -Hellebuyck -Maurice -Overall forward depth/production from bottom 6

That was the 2005 season under Daley. Our DC had quit, so the players were calling the schemes on the field, sandlot style... It was a joke. That's how Maas set a completion record against us that year....

There's a fine line between rest and rust... Not sure a sweep is the best thing either. Adversity can be a good thing.
