  1. And we know that no new stadium is coming in Calgary. The new Stamps Prez says that there's been absolutely no discussion about one... LIke, really??? Stamps fans aren't stupid. McMahon is pushing 60 years of age. They see the new ball parks being built or retrofitted as in BC, Hamilton, Ottawa, Saskabush & Winnipeg. McMahon is old... Attendance is starting to tank... Not a good situation at all here in Cow Town. They say season tickets are at 21,000. Five years ago it was over 30,000. The age & ammenities of the facitlity has 75% do with it. Fan apathy (Oh yeah, just another 12-6 season... how boring) is the other 25%.
  2. Dr CFL, the Bombers have won 9 Grey Cups... So, that would mean that there'd be 5 teams with players pissed off using your logic. Can't please everyone...
  3. Yeah, keep this Access_Blue turd off here. A practice is a practice. Whether it's in full pads or a walk thru with no hitting at all. The guy is a full blown troll & shouldn't be welcome here at all. Funny how he just showed up when he did. He's their problem now.
  4. I don't think Brad Watters was a bad owner per se but he was underfunded. he didn't have the resources to run the team properly. I seem to remember he was a buddy of one of the former Commissioners so he convinced the BOG to grant Watters a franchise. Or something similar to that.
  5. Do you have a link? If so, be interesting to read it.
  6. That was Lapo luring Tim Burke & Burke luring Dickenson.
  7. Hunt made his reputation in hockey. Let's hope he can translate that success into football. To me, he's got off to a rocky start with the name of the team.
  8. Glenn did yeoman service last year. The offense was designed for Tate & Dickenson changed it up to account for the things Glenn did well. Hey, the Stamps coulda..shoulds... won the Grey Cup but the Argos outplayed them. Other than Glenn, the Stampders are a young team. They'll be better for the experience.
  9. Yeah, it's nice. But CFL football has failed twice in Ottawa. Something like the wrong name can really screw it up & get the team off on the wrong foot. They've already lost a generation of fans.Skepticism reigns supreme.
  10. You see, that's where we get our revenge, Bluto. Knowing it will probably be the 22nd century before the Leafs win the Cup again.
  11. Argos have the Stamps number the past 2 seasons but I expect that will change this season. There isn't anything about the Argos that makes me think they are truly the better team overall. They beat Calgary for the GC & on that day & I certainly give them credit for that.
  12. Thanks for nuthin' Blunt Bill.
  13. I just hope that means the Stamps ditch the black helmet & black pants & go back to being red & white. The black helmet was a Lyle Bauer initiative totally ignoring the team's past. It'd be like the Bombers went to white helmets. Just stupid.
  14. Only THEY think the name is cool. It's ********.
  15. I think BC is in that same boat at qb. Behind Lulay, could Joey Elliott lead that team if he had to?? I know there are fans here who feel he got the short end of the stick from Burke when released. I think Lulay drives that team. Just as Henry Burris, Ricky Ray, Darian Durant, Buck Pierce & AC drive their team. Calgary is fortunate to have Kevin Glenn who can pick up the pieces should Tate go down again.
  16. Just gonna say it's very difficult for Cameron to walk in his father's footsteps just because of who he is, how long he played for the Bombers & what he accomplished. He probably puts too much pressure on himself as a punter. Hopefully, he can just go out there on the practice field, relax & punt the snot out of the football. I used to punt... If he justs works on his fundmentals with every punt & tries not to kill the football then he should be fine. It's probably 75% mental right now with the guy...
  17. That's a groovy name...
  18. It is a unique name. Certainly not generic like you see on the internet for other similar sites.
  19. It all starts at the qb position. Without an accomplished qb pulling the trigger nothing works. PLUS... we haven't had a very strong OL consistently over the years, either. Don't care how good the schemes are or how innovative the plays are without those 2 things on offense, it won't work.
  20. Amazing the punishment that dogs can put their stomachs through...
  21. Kinda gets you "right here" (Pounding on chest with pride) doesn't it?? Old School!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQTCvQFG8QY
