  1. Try Google Chrome.... It works for me now.
  2. Yeah, agree. The coaches make the decisions. Not the players.
  3. Any more news out of Hamilton regarding Williams' status?
  4. I am using Google Chrome to view this forum & it works fine now... Couldn't access it when the change was made a day or so ago. My desktop uses Windows XP... My laptop Windows 7. Thanks for the advice...
  5. The Bombers should do what the Stamps do... They have a Wall of Fame where a couple of players & a builder every year or so are put on the wall in the stadium... The Esks do the same thing & it's classy & a big deal for the players selected. They have a dinner & make a weekend of it by flying former players into town & are honoured at a Stamps game by being driven into the stadium in convertibles. It really is a lot of fun & you can see how the players love it. A couple of years ago, Allen Pitts & Doug Flutie made it to the Wall Of fame & it was so cool. Also, under the grandstands in the two concourses on the east & west side there are huge posters of players being honoured. It'd be a great way for the Bombers to recognize great players from the past. I like the idea of a statue in front of the stadium. But that would have to be for the greatest player who ever played for the team... And who votes for that??
  6. If they can get him for free when he's cut then they don't have to give anything up. That's the key. Heff's trade value would go up I believe if he was a starter...
  7. If Huff thinks Heff could help the Stamps he'd go after him. But teams aren't stupid... if they think Hefney is going to get cut they'll just wait.
  8. Football isn't about what have you done for me before it's all about what can you do for me today, next game or next week? If Hefney can't cut it, he'll be gone. That is how it is playing pro sports. Players get paid to win & not paid to play. If that was the case both Alex Brink & Joey Elliott would still be here. All about performance.
  9. Man, I'm just Goltz'd out to the point I don't care. Too bad one guy at the other site had to go spoil it for everyone.
  10. So, what your're saying is without even looking at the CBA that there'd be a provision in it where they lay out what teams can & can't do when a player breaches his contract?
  11. Michael Allen. Played for the Bombers during their 2 GC wins in 88 & 90.
  12. Oh, okay... I see.Thanks....
  13. Why do I need a special password to get into the MBB draft forum & what is it all about? It won't even let me use the password I use to get onto the main forum to get into that forum....
  14. Why, so road griller can come on here & gloat on every post? I bet we all don't want that. So fortunate that he has decided to stay where he is on the other site. One of the reasons I like this place so much is that getting away from road griller gives this place such a breath of fresh air. Best man wins, I don't care who they are & how long they played here previously.
  15. Gotta feel for the boy. He is a hero & is chastized for doing the right thing. Someday, he may turn a blind eye to something because of this. Great job the educators in that school are doing by teaching him to look the other way.
  16. Good question. I assume it's for all contracts. I could be wrong.
  17. No, there's been instances where players were fined daily for missing camp in a contract dispute. Happened in the CFL in the past & in the NHL, NFL, NBA & MLB. Guys wanted their contracts renegotiated & stayed away & teams fined them by the day for not being there. Players can't have their way here... others will try the same crap. There hasn't been a contract holdout in the CFL for many, many years so it isn't commonplace to see it in the CFL. I remember Dieter Brock having a contract dispute in 1983 with the Bombers where he refused to report to training camp so the Bombers fined him everyday for missing camp. He finally arrived about a week or so late to avoid the fines but he was not happy & made it known loud & clear. He was traded to Hamilton just around Labour Day for Tom Clements.
  18. I said when Cauchy signed that was a preemptive (& smart) strike to keep Henoc here. Give the guy what he asks & be done with, Mack. Jeezus. Get it done.
  19. LOL! Thanks Mike. Actually i'm pretty connected for an old geezer. Have a laptop, desktop & smartphone even though it's a piece of crud Blackberry. I'm on facebook & twitter. About to launch into Snapchat as well. Haven't done that yet...
  20. Both laptop & desktop. Maybe I'm the minority but I absolutely hate that feature... For a smartphone, sure but on a laptop, no.
  21. No, Captain Morgan actually. The Drink of champions. Just a frustrated reaction to what you said about Williams making more money in 2 months working construction. than he could make playing the entire season this year. Our league is better than that... I bet a lot of non CFL fans or ones that just follow the NFL will be saying just that. In the end, the CFL will get undeservedly bashed for being a cheap league & Williams will be wearing a white hat as the hero of the masses. So, I got a bit pissed off. I'd love to see our players get paid more. We all would. Lord knows they deserve it. But Williams knew what he was signing when he picked up his pen last season or whenever he signed that contract. So, he has to live with it.
  22. I'm all for teams paying their players what they are worth & would love to see the CFL salary cap go up to $5 million with the new tv deal as the players deserveto be paid much more... But I'm also not a fan of a player breaching his contract & acting entitled either. In this case, an arbitrator rules against Williams. The Ti cats should do whatever they can legally to make his life uncomfortable to stop more of this kind of thing from happening in the future.Williams threw down the gauntlet. Now, let's see him walk through it.
  23. They have to offer him a 1 + 1 now, thanks to Chris Williams, remember.... before they can offer him anything else...
  24. If it can be eliminated that would be great. To me, it's a useless feature. I'll see the posts once I go into the thread itself. It is a major annoyance & an extra step to read or discuss a subject. If you guys can delete that feature, please do.
