I don't find the comments strange at all given William's behaviour. He'll have to apologize & commit to the Ti Cats for the rest of the season. To me, that is a given.

I would be very surprised if the NFL would be trying to steal guys under contract. They don't do business like that.

My avy here is #27 Dave "The Knife" Raimey. One of the greatest running backs to ever play for the Bombers. Played four full seasons for the Bombers from 1965 to 1968 before being traded to the Argos for qb Wally Gabler in August of 1969. His ability to cut & change directions gave him the nickname of The Knife. As in he could cut thru a CFL defense like a knife cuts thru butter. My all time favourite CFL player of all time. He was such a great athlete that he was an All Canadian running back for the Bombers. He became an All Canadian corner in Toronto after a serious knee injury in 1970 caused him to switch positions in 1970 after Leon McQuay was recruited by then head coach Leo Cahill. He'd be on the list for Bomber greats for sure but when he left for the Argos it was under bad circumstances as he had enough of playing for bad teams here. In 1968 & 69 he & Ken Nielsen were the only offensive weapons we had as a team. Unfortunately, Raimey has much closer ties to the Argos than Bombers. To me, he'll always be that great running back in Blue & Gold juking & jiving, making players miss all over the field & then exploding to the goal line for a touchdown! Argo or Bomber, that will always be my memory of the man.

What shot??? The guy has no shot. There's no offers from the NFL coming his way. And there won't be because he's under contract. He's sitting at home picking his nose NOT BEING PAID so he isn't taking care of his family as he's a punk ass.

Yeah, easy for Barker to close when Mitchell & his agent are answering the phone. Can't close the sale when the customer (Williams) won't take Austin's calls. But again, nothing to close as Williams contract was upheld as being valid by an arbitrator. So in reality, nothing to close.

But, I'm not talking about a new contract because Williams has a valid contract just like Kackert & Owens do. So, the closing part you refer to, I don't understand because Obie already closed Williams in 2010. No, I'm talking about Kackert & Owens saying they don't want to play anymore regardless of their contracts so they want out to explore more NFL opportunities. Or say four or five other Argos also expressed the same desire & didn't show up for camp or played during the season. Then how would you feel?

Bluto, what if Kackert & Owens did the same thing? Would you still be so understanding & saying use an iron fist covered with a velevt glove? In this situation there was nothing to close. He is still under a valid contract. He's being a Richard.

So, the problem now is... up to 50% of the players were represented by agents not certified by the CFL/CFLPA. Technically, that is a breach of the collective bargaining agreement meaning players could walk if they want out of their contracts early. How stupid is/ was the CFL for allowing this to happen??? Sometimes the CFL looks & acts like such a bush league. Shooting itself in the foot time & time again. The arbitrator may have ruled saying that Williams contract was still valid but next time, an arbitrator may rule the other way... Slippery slope we're on right now.

Chris Williams: How To Win Friends & Influence People. And 30-50% of the agents aren't registerd with the CFL& CFLPA? Like, why are players dealing wth so many unregistered agents. This is a joke, people. If these people aren't certified they have no business negotiating contracts for their clients. Why does the CFL always have to give itself a self imposed black eye before it does something??
