Oh based on what? The qb situation they got figured out? The money they're going to have to spend to keep that D intact? You expect your team to score as many defensive points as they did this past season? The Riders are the prime candidate to regress next season.

I just don't get the idea that Dressler isn't worth the money... he was our best receiver all season long and Nichols clearly looks to him when he needs a play. How is that not worth the money?

My view from the stands says Calgary D played well but our offense didn't even try and make it hard on them. We played right into what they expected and really only made them cover about 10 yards of field. Didn't even try and push the ball downfield other than the one play where Streveler had Harris deep but missed him. Until under 5 minutes left that is. That was the difference really. The Stamps made the Bombers defend the entire field, the Bombers didn't do the same. I can live with a loss when you try your best and come up short but the Bombers offense rolled over and prayed for the D to carry the day, but BLM ain't going to turn the ball over, you actually have to go out there and beat him. The D did an admirable job and Lapolice and his passive bullshit wasted that effort.

Well I started to pay attention to what options Nichols had after all the throw aways... There was no one out there for him to throw to. Mostly it was Harris short with someone right on his ass in coverage and Adams deeper down the field in what would be an iffy throw on the run for a guy without an absolute cannon of an arm. So yeah, **** Lapo for not giving Nichols any help when he leaves the pocket. And **** the receivers for not helping him either. Lapo gotta go.

Because Adams stopped ******* running his route and Nichols expected that he'd keep running like a receiver should do. Seriously that one was on Adams.

When he rolled out there were 2 options to him. Harris for the dump off, who was always covered because the Stamps did their homework and knew that covering Harris was priority one and option 2 was usually Adams further downfield also being covered. This team has a problem helping their qb out when he rolls out of the pocket and I think it's by design. So yeah, I'm blaming Lapo for his passive crap. Same **** as when he was head coach here. Playing not to lose rather than playing to win like the Stamps did.

Yeah an upgrade at receiver is needed but more than that we gotta get an offensive coordinator who isn't afraid to try and win the damned ball game. In classic Lapo style he opted to let the defense try and win the game rather than trying to make it hard on the Stamps D. Seriously, you can not wait until under 5 minutes are left in the game to try and push the ball downfield. It felt exactly like watching the 2011 Grey Cup game. Defense doing their best to keep the thing in reach but the offense flat out refused to try and score.

You can curl drunk, hell I've lost to guys too drunk to stand up and hold the broom, but you don't act like assholes while doing it. Fun drunks, not angry drunks.

of course it's going to be Suitor, he's TSNs top CFL colour commentator. What they should do is pair Black and Suitor together and then you've consolidated all the suck into one game rather than spreading it over 2 games.

For the lack of use Thompkins was getting it don't really matter if it's Lankford. Maybe we get lucky and Lankford makes a big play but he's likely to be a non-factor and probably not worth fretting about.

Last time we played in Calgary Lankford scored that big touchdown. It's called playing the percentages, it's what smart managers do to win ball games.

The Stamps D started so strong but man they really fell off towards the end of the season. Be really interesting to see if they've figured **** out or not. I actually have a lot of faith in our offense, Lapo has done a good job with it the last few years. This group is so tight, why not win this game and play in a Grey Cup? We're about due.

On paper yeah Ottawa should win, but I never trust that team to not play a terrible game.

Thompkins in my eyes is a far better receiver but honestly they didn't even throw to him last game, this teams passing attack is always going to run through the 4 of Dressler, Adams, Demski and Wolitarsky so if it helps the return game it's not a huge deal. Unless someone gets hurt in game, but in that case we might be screwed either way. This team's offense really relies on Harris to start it off so let's just get the OL to dominate again and let Harris run all over the field.

Honestly I'd take Rod Black over Glen Suitor. Suitor is just the worst. Black at least is monotone enough to tune out.

There will never be a great salary structure from top to bottom in the CFL because of how much more valuable quarterbacks and national players are. Can find hundreds of capable american players at other positions so the value just isn't there. You can bump up the minimum salary but the guys who are the rarest will always make significantly more.
