  1. but I am not talking about the touchdown throw, I'm talking about the ones that should have been picked but were dropped. If streveler throws those you probably don't hand wave it away like you do with Collaros.
  2. He always had the reputation as a smart qb though, and I have the expectation that a smart qb understands how to call plays. Same reason I'd be OK with Pierce too. Guy isn't a dummy, I think he knows how to run an offense.
  3. You know what, I don't really care which team we play. We have shown we can beat either calgary or saskatchewan and the losses were hardly blowouts when they did happen. All we need to do is string together a couple wins to play in the Grey Cup and if not for a few lapses in games thought to be well in hand this team would have cruised to first in the west.
  4. I don't think Pierce would be another Lapo and I wouldn't be opposed to him getting a shot, I just honestly have no idea what he'd be like.
  5. i dunno about Pierce, he hasn't done anything with Lapo so it's hard to gauge what he brings. At least with a guy from Calgary you have him being experienced learning from some of the best OCs the league has had recently.
  6. Yeah he's the guy I want I think. Worse guys to learn from than hufnagel and dickenson.
  7. Said it a million times, wills ay it again for the remedial class apparently, the second collaros was traded Fajardo was no longer the backup. As for the ol, cry me a river, everyone has had injuries there. Bombers had a pile of injuries to their interior this season too.
  8. I've said it a lot, but I want a former qb as our next OC.
  9. Probably people who watched his 2nd half vs the bombers and no other argos games and assume that's who he always is.
  10. added some further context.
  11. well not Tim Burke
  12. I think overly much is made of Thomas starting. Kongbo takes a pile of reps, as does everyone else on the DL.
  13. My liver is ****** anyway, I'd rather it was from celebrating the Bombers than drowing sorrows.
  14. stayed healthy...
  15. Jones is not one to talk about class though.
  16. Might be less parity in the west if the eastern teams were a legit threat to beat people consistantly.
  17. I am excited that we will get to do this to them in the playoffs again.
  18. Having Collaros around is probably also not a bad thing for Streveler either, because before he was hurt all the time Collaros was also a pretty decent runner, so having a guy who can run but is experienced enough to keep his eyes downfield while doing so could be good for a young guy like streveler.
  19. God I said when they kicked that ball, no respect for our offense. It's an insult that I am glad cost them. The other key play was Grant returning the missed convert. It's the kind of big play that can energize a group.
  20. I doubt Streveler is healthy so it won't be a decision. guy who runs that much with a bad wheel, just asking for trouble to try and force him in when you don't need to.
  21. you'd think Streveler was much less experienced a player.... would your opinion be the same if Calgary had held onto some of those balls that Collaros put into their hands? Let's flip it, if Streveler had thrown those balls would you be allllll over him for poor throws and dumb decisions he was lucky were dropped?
  22. I do cartwheels and victory laps after every win no matter who is in at qb.
  23. Just tempering things. He made some throws every bit as bad as Streveler has made. The real difference was he did some veteran things that made helped create plays, but it wasn't this flawless thing either. So again, I am simply trying to be objective here. Good performance that wasn't without blemish. My whole point here is that our offense is largely the same no matter who is at qb, the things that matter most for this team is whether the D makes stops and the special teams can make plays. Both things we got tonight we didn't in Calgary.
  24. enjoying the win, still worried about the yards the D gives up and the offense and it's continuing issues.
  25. Now I love wins and Collaros did do some real good things... but he coulda easily had 3 ints on the night if not for Adams knocking one out of the dbs hands and a db flat out dropping another one. It's the same things this offense has issues with no matter the QB. Difference between this game and the one in Calgary is the D got a few more stops tonight.
