  1. I watched that video. Pacman was clearly high and he kept saying that Winnipeg was in the UFL.
  2. Yes, Winnipeg isn't supposed to win in New York. I still remember when we won in New York in 1979 in our first year in the NHL, which wasn't supposed to happen. The ref (I think it was Bruce Hood) talked about how he got death threats after the game.
  3. or...introduce the "Multiverse" concept to Bond, and have many Bonds...lol...just kidding. OK I threw up in my mouth, should have seen that coming.
  4. Who told you to put the balm on!!
  5. I was looking at scores from that season and some interesting facts come out for me: - Edmonton lost only one game all season - guess who beat them? Yup, Dieter and Crew, 38 - 28 - I remembered why I grew up thinking "Barnagel" was so good, because Sask came into our barn that year and beat us, one of only two teams to do so at home that year (not counting that uber-crappy Western Semi-Final game). I remember being very mad after that Sask game. - We beat Montreal 58-2 that year. HA HAA HAAA HAAA I think that game destroyed Vince Ferragamo.
  6. Austin/Burgess was really effective for sure. Hopefully one day "Collaros and Streveler" will be right up there, if they can put together two solid seasons and even another Cup or two.
  7. I know this show ended 10 years ago but I finally watched all 7 seasons of SOA. I also found out that Tiggy lives just down the road from me in West Kelowna.
  8. I'm going with the "TMI line" as their nickname - they score a goal, then come off the ice and tell you all about their latest colonoscopy.
  9. Yes I remember every Roughrider game that I watched that year (and not all games were televised back then) the announcers were talking about "Barnagel". They were an effective one-two punch. The Bombers utilized Hufnagel in that capacity to some extent as well bringing in Huffer when Clements was struggling. The biggest example of that was the 1984 Grey Cup. I was always a fan of "mixing things up".
  10. too early to give that line a nickname? Tofalohan? The TMI line?
  11. never got past the first period so I'll take Rick's word for it.
  12. ok then how about Wilkinson and Moon in Edmonton? LOL Moonkinson - I just made that up.
  13. would like to see a bomb to Brady in the end zone in this year's GC by Strevy like we saw him connect with Harris in 2019. Always like to see Brady used more for screens and receptions, though as we saw in the Ottawa game, he's got to remember to hang on to the ball.
  14. Still remember in 1981 when the Riders had Huffer and Joe Barnes as a two-headed monster at QB, the advent of "Barnagel" as it was called was especially dangerous with Joey Walters at SB.
  15. of all the times I've seen the Bombers in the GC, the 2001 loss still stings the most. That would have been a great year to break the drought, all the pieces were in place...and we let it slip through our fingers...argh...
  16. I was wondering about that too - how many times this year have the Canucks benefited from a team coming in from a previous night's game in Seattle? Of course, the Jets often get the same with a team coming in after playing the Wild the previous night...so...there's that...I guess.
