  1. excellent moderation around here, I must say. You guys are really on the ball.
  2. Calling Pat Woodcock...
  3. I've checked practice rosters of other teams and Peach seems to be the only National OL I can find on any roster that actually has some playing time experience. Should we go out and grab Brad Erdos from the Stamps instead? Matt Vonk from the Riders? Maybe. Hugo Demarais from Ottawa? (who?) Jaskaran Dhillon from the Argos? Jake Piotrowski from the Als? The point is the pickings are pretty slim, so if you can find a National OL out there with playing experience whose name isn't Tyson Pencer or Chris Kowalchuk then you need to at least give them a serious look.
  4. You also have to remember, the team that scores the most points by the end of the game has a better chance of winning. - Chris Schultz

  6. Bob Irving @BobIrvingCJOB Cordaro Howard getting lots of reps in place of injured Chris greaves at left guard for bombers--could be 3 imports on o-line in Montreal
  7. Looks like Friesen is watching practice today... Paul Friesen ✔ @friesensunmedia Drew Willy throwing deep, showing no ill effects from Thursday's hand injury. #Bombers
  8. CFL Official Feed ✔ @CFL THIS JUST IN: Don Oramasionwu out for the season with a ruptured patellar tendon in his left knee. #CFL
  9. Is this an Ameet Pall reference? If so I don't think the two situations are quite the same. Pall was injured, or seemed to be, and just wanted to go home to Montreal.
  10. I think that they do think Howard is better, which is why Howard is on the main roster and Jones is collecting P/R pay. Who on the Lions would we want that is worth a spare part from our international OL depth? I can't see Wally giving us much, other than maybe giving us Poblah back. Watching Kito drop that perfect KG rainbow pass that fell right into his arms had me twitching as I had flashbacks to the last three years of watching him do that for us.
  11. I think they know that Huff is too smart to get caught napping and just lose Peach for nothing. Huffer is probably weighing offers right now from several teams, and as the National OL go down to injury, Peach's value is only going to go up.
  12. I read that article, and thought that the Lions sounded a bit like babies. Boo-hoo they threw a long ball in the fourth quarter...boo hoo...
  13. By process of elimination and body size I was able to figure it out pretty fast. Suitor and Cuthbert couldn't seem to go through the same process. For awhile they were calling him Greg Peach, then it was Zach Anderson. Finally, when the camera showed Thomas sitting on the bench smiling with #60 on, the mystery for them was solved. Did Thomas get any reps on the o-line at all?
  14. I think the only reason that this is even possible is because of the emergence of Teague Sherman. That being said, I'd be burning up the phone lines with Huffer right now about Peach.
  15. CFL Official Feed ✔ @CFL Week 2 CFL.ca Power Rankings are done. Released tomorrow at 9am ET. Discuss. #CFL
  16. I don't care if you never played the game, and I don't mind negativity if it is intelligent and insightful, but at the very least, the person being paid to report on the game should be a fan of the game, like us, and possess basic knowledge of the rules, actually - more than basic knowledge truth be told. Other than Tait and Penton in some ways, I don't see a lot of true football fans in the media in Winnipeg. Other cities have the same problem, but the difference is our guys are masquerading as knowledgeable folk, and their stupidity and apathy to the game we love is exposed week after week. Because we fans call them on it.
  17. Herb Zurkowsky @HerbZurkowsky1 And #Als' safety Mike Edem remains sidelined.
  18. Ed Tait ✔ @WFPEdTait #Bombers Bryant Turner back at work this morning. Chris Greaves and Cory Watson are spectators. #bn
  19. If not I fear our offensive potency will be flaccid.
  20. nope it sure wasn't. There was a whole lot of stink in that coaching room.
  21. Well, the depth is still pretty shabby. The talent level should not have been as maligned as it was. Depth - Thomas is not allowed to get injured this season, and if Swiston isn't healthy by the end of the week....well it's getting pretty bare bones on our roster. Love the extensions, and am assuming that part of adding one year includes a small pay raise for this year. These guys are earning it. I agree that we need more DL depth. I hope that one of Mulumba or Bilikudi is coming our way in the near future. Also - we do have a few other National OL on the roster, but that being said, it will be a sad day if we have to use them. Gord Hinse is the only one I see being able to step in and actually play, given his prior experience.
  22. Just spit-balling here, but if you are fighting with your team-mates, then this may apply:
  23. Watching the game again, I think the TSN turning point was when Bruce Johnson stripped the ball from Marcus Henry on the goal line in the fourth quarter. The play resulted in the RB's having to settle for a field goal, and the next play was the Washington return TD.
