  1. The Fords and the GM products weren't much better. We used to head West every July from Winnipeg in a 1975 Buick Lesabre. The engine would get to Calgary half an hour before the rest of us did.
  2. I dunno either but I still don't see it. Who cares.
  3. ha yeah I know, I was thinking if you pulled that I would have to change my pick two minutes before game time...but I also knew you weren't that kind of dude!
  4. A few years ago I discovered a large pile of bear poop in my back-yard, and then discovered the perpetrator munching on a bag of garbage only a few feet away down in the ravine. Luckily the bear was more interested in his garbage than me.
  5. Did I ever tell you guys about the time Brett Blaszko killed Wolfman Jack with a trident?
  6. That's too bad about the moose. I still remember the 1980's: 1. Games were played while lightning flashed overhead. Only until goal-posts were hit did it cause a momentary pause in the game while people picked themselves up off the turf. 2. Moose running around in public areas were either herded away or shot down. No one cared either way.
  7. oh ok.
  8. sad about what outcome?
  9. it's more Americans mangling it that is the funniest, I know I was just in PQ (Montreal and Quebec City) in August listening to Americans trying to speak French (Quebec french). I was talking to some Americans from New York and they asked me what part of the US I was from, and they were blown away that I was from Canada. "We didn't think you were from Canada, you speak English so well" was their comment. I just about fell over laughing.
  10. which is why I didn't go this year. Tickets are $22 plus handling fee. I don't mind seeing it if there are players I want to see like Ehlers/Connor. But this year, meh, I'd rather be in the man-cave watching football.
  11. I don't think you grasped my comment. It wasn't a shot at you, it was a shot at Migs, in that if you are using niceness as a metric for what you have in common, and Kim Jong Un is nicer than Migs (due to Migs being an uber-Riderfan homer ******), then ergo, you and Kim Jong-Un have more in common than you and Migs do. Get it? And where did you get that picture of Noeller for your avatar? Did you hack his phone or something?
  12. and he's paid $550K a year.
  13. If that's your only metric, then I think you have more in common with Kim Jong-Un.
  14. I loved the fans' reaction to the Rider guy that was faking an injury right before the half to buy the Rider defence time, and Dunigan was having none of Gord Miller's BS and actually said "he's just limping to put on a show". A few times Dunigan stood up for Winnipeg against Miller's nonsense and so I give the HH to Matt Dunigan. Just to be different.
  15. I watched that play over and over again. No where can I see the Rider player touch Adams. Adams trips himself.
  16. I really like Dunigan as color guy. Reminds me a lot of Ron Lancaster when he was on CBC in the 1980's. Tells it like it is. With his QB past, he can see what's coming and give a lot of insight. I remember one game in the 80's when the Riders were beating Edmonton, which never happened, and Lancaster was just loving it. He said "Riders are bringing the blitz, if Edmonton doesn't see it Moon is dead" and sure enough, after Moon snapped the ball Lancaster just said "he's dead" and five guys jumped on Moon. That memory came back to me today when Dunigan announced the Lankford TD before Nichols had thrown the ball. Just love it. OK - enough babbling, just really happy right now watching the Banjo Bowl, it was everything I wanted and more.
  17. I am sure Suitor agrees too. Dunigan was great though, standing up for Winnipeg against Gord Miller's political spin.
  18. This is the KG we all know. Hearts are breaking all over Saskatchewan.
