  1. that's good - given your preoccupation with people dying you had me worried there...
  2. right. I always think you sell when an asset is in high demand, but there's not much behind Hutch so probably not a great idea.
  3. what's up with Frosty? Am I missing something here?
  4. Trade bait? Vegas still need a goalie?
  5. half the Moose maybe.
  6. well then that changes things.
  7. I see a future for Petan in Europe, probably the next time I see him play it will be scoring a goal for Canada in the Spengler Cup. I also don't know what we saw in keeping Dano. Sure would have liked to have been able to grab Cal Foote in the draft.
  8. yeah Buff looked pretty bad on that first goal. Gambled and lost at the blue line. Chairot's definitely not the guy to be out there with Buff, that's for sure. Not sure what was going on with Laine on that second goal, seems to be falling down a lot out there. I also liked how on the 7th goal the Jets didn't really celebrate. That's class. Don Cherry would like to see that.
  9. typical Buff night. My favorite part was the Little goal - Little scores, then before he can really celebrate he turns and sees several Minny players jumping on Ehlers and so just plows into the pile in defense of his team-mate - now that's hockey!!!
  10. Got to get pucks deep! Give 110%! Backs against the wall. Cycle the puck down low and get it to the net!
  11. ok, that kind of clears it up I guess.
  12. not so embarrassing to lose to two such legendary teams....
  13. beauty short-handed goal by Roslo. There's got to be a way to get that guy up in the bigs, he's really looking good out there.
  14. how did Mason get a concussion? Was it on that slap shot to the head from Jannick Hansen? If so I put that a bit on Laine, I don't know what he was doing on that play but he just put the puck right on Hansen's stick.
  15. even sweeter was beating Dieter. I know over the years the hard feelings have mellowed and Dieter is back in the Bomber family but at that time the feelings were still pretty raw and bruised regarding how Dieter left, and the things that he said about Winnipeg. One of my fondest memories of a Bomber game was in 1984 during the season when Dieter came back to Winnipeg and we all chanted "Brock Busters!!" every time the announcer would put on the Ghostbusters theme, usually after yet another Dieter sack by Tyrone Jones. Man those were good days.
  16. ha ha yeah I know the feeling bro....
  17. We capitalized in 88 and 90 as we were in the East at that time.
  18. it had only been 3 years since our last Cup victory at that point (we won in 84 and Gray's INT was in the 88 Grey Cup). Where's Jacquie our fact-checker to verify?
  19. what stands out to me from our 3 GC wins were the defensive plays. Stan Mikawos rumbling down the field for the TD after Ty Jones big hit on Dieter Brock caused a fumble in 1984, Michael Gray with the interception on Matt Dunigan on the 2 yrd line in 88 to turn the tide and seal the victory, and Greg Battle returning the pick six on Tracy Ham in 90. Good times.
  20. 1984. It was epic due to such a long drought. The next GC win will be even bigger. Hope it's in my lifetime.
  21. ok - not my preference but ok...
  22. why are you thankful you don't have to work on Fridays?
  23. yup he set up the Lowry goal with a great pass into the slot.
