  1. When did Dinwiddie see Brown? Every single day in practice. Every single day in the QB room. At this point in his career, Brown is a QB who showed promise, got a starting job based on that promise, and had some good games. His new coach didn't see him as part of the solution. Quite frankly, choosing Maier and MBT over Brown is pretty damning. I'm sure that the redblacks shopped Dru to all the teams. We gave them the most value. That tells me where the rest of the teams stand on Dru. Not worth a 1st & possibly a 2nd round draft pick & who wouldn't give that up for a 'starting' QB? In Wpg, Brown upgrades our backup QB spot. We now have a chance if Collaros goes down that we didn't really have before the trade. That's worth the price to us.
  2. I've been watching, & I say differently as does the Ottawa staff, who know more than either of us.
  3. I'm happy to have Brown as our #2 QB, but let's not make him into something he isn't. He was the worst starting QB in the league last year and lost his job to Jake Maier this year. He's like a lot of backups who, when they get their chance, don't live up to the hype.
  4. We're not carrying 4 QB's on the AR. Perkins is getting the window or aisle talk as I type.
  5. Not using a nickname doesn't change anything, except making people feel like they're doing something positive.
  6. The Inuit couldn't make the decision; therefore, it was a white people's decision. Some Inuit were happy. Some weren't. Some white folks were happy. Some weren't.
  7. It's that exact demographic that decided "Eskimo" is an offensive term in the first place. For the record, every demographic has a right to say what is and isn't offensive to them, but taking offence to something doesn't mean everyone has to change to make you feel better. For example, religions are highly offensive to me and my atheist brethren, but being offended doesn't give us the right to tell them they must change and vice versa.
  8. The name Eskimos is offensive to a certain group of mostly white people. I'm an old white guy, and I'd have no problem with the Winnipeg Whitemen. I suspect the same group of white people who find Eskimos offensive would find Whitemen equally offensive. Changing the team's name to placate one group of people also pisses off another group. That said, the name change has little to nothing to do with the lack of fans in the stands & changing it back wouldn't either.
  9. BC's receiving corps has been decimated. Please change my pick to Ham. Thanks.
  10. I'm 69... Get off of my lawn.
  11. Neither team played defence last night. Tons of big plays for both offences. Receivers on both teams were wide open, and the QB's got them the ball. Looks like both teams will need to score 30 points to win.
  12. We lost on the Doink and the pick in the endzone. Those 2 plays cost us 6 points with a good chance at 10.
  13. No Hutchings, Orimolade, Begelton or Paredes. Gotta change my pick to the Bombers.
  14. Any way to see what the pick counts are like last year?
  15. I like getting the national (Toronto) view, as it's an echo chamber in here. Top 4 look right to me though.
  16. Lawler - This week, not every week.
  17. It was the worst pre-season stream yet. At the beginning they didn't have CJOB in sync. The play was over before they started describing it. They showed folks in the crowd instead of the plays. Showed ads while the play was going on. Pure amateur hour.
  18. DAZN doesn't fix that problem. Your son will now be able to easily find 20% of the games. Big whoop!
  19. The CFL the way it was, was good enough. Getting all the games by paying for one subscription was good enough. No globals was good enough.
  20. Owners are on side cuz they see the dollar signs right now, and they don't care if it kills the CFL if/when DAZN pulls its money for lack of viewers.
  21. This is the perfect DAZN game. IE... I don't care if I miss it.
