I think that Winnipeg is doing what veteran laden teams in the CFL do: coast through the early stages, don't get yourself killed in July and August... and try to make your run when it counts. I'm an Argo fan, I've seen us make GC runs exactly like that. (which is why having us out to a fast start this season is such an anomaly)

If it makes you feel any better, the Argos didn't win the GC that year. They lost to the Rough Riders in the East Final.

The Scullers haven't been 5-0 in my lifetime. On paper this ought to be a comprehensive win, but the Tabbies won't want to lay down at home. It's a crisis... but it's the CFL and rebuilds can be done in a year. Elks need to have a cold, heartless, top-down look at how to hit ctrl-alt-del on this mess. (And if they were in the East, they might've even got a partial rebuild from August castoffs and still had a shot at the final playoff spot... No hope of that with them looking nailed-on for 5th)
