  1. If it had to happen (and a few among you had pointed out that it may have been in the mail), at least it was in week 3, you're 2-1,and this may serve as a reality check and a focus for the players, coaches and management. Bombers may yet be the best team in the West. But that doesn't mean that the other teams should just accept that they'll top the Division and go to the GC again. And the Leos have served notice. The result of August 3's rematch in BC should be instructive. Circle it on your calendar.
  2. 6.5 point spread in the Bombers' favour... I'd take the Over
  3. Taking MBB's picks gets me 10.41 odds on Proline+ today, I really hope you all are right on this one. My gut says Hamilton and Calgary will win. Changing those two lowers the ticket to a meagre 5.31.
  4. Montreal @ Hamilton is a toughie. Alouettes seem better off an right now, but not by much and they may have had a productive bye week. I can't see Hamilton slipping to 0-3 in front of their home crowd (although I am lighting a candle for that to happen).
  5. It's literally what we were singing at them at the game. I was just reporting on it because it was funny (well, I thought so). Lighten up Brotherman.
  6. I was merely trying to share some culture with the poor souls from Hamilton.
  7. Thanks again, MBB. $10 got me $55.
  8. Remind me... What was it that swaggerville accomplished?
  9. Dusting off my favorite fan chant and dedicating it to Hamilton. To the tune of La Donna è Mobile - Rigoletto: "That's why we're Champions! That's why we're Champions! That's why we're Champions! That's why we're Champions!"
  10. Really looking forward to Thursday now.
  11. I bet MBB's favorites with an Argo win as a 4 game parlay, then MBB's favorites with an Argo loss as a parlay. I win one of them about 50% of the time and that covers the losses... and in the event that the Boatmen lose, the winning ticket may assuage my sore feelings. Not getting rich off of it, but I ended up on the year in 2022.
  12. Glad that this thread is a mainstay. I make two $10 bets a week based on it.
  13. Who'd fly to Hamilton??
  14. That is such a key loss for them.
  15. I expect it'll look better when they swap the pants to opposites of the jerseys.
  16. So it's a year in Cambridge... I'm good with that. We haven't done it in awhile. The Oar motif will take some getting used to.
  17. Could've been worse. Could've cheated even more and lost a Grey Cup...
  18. I'm laughing at that but yeah! If we had journalists worthy of the name, somebody would ask TSN that.
  19. It's basically free content for CBS. Their Ad revenue from it will far surpass the $1M the shell out for it. Honestly the only thing about this deal that angers me is that by the look of it, I'll actually have to acknowledge that Randy Ambrosie has done a good job here.
  20. In what way is the willingness to take an annual operating loss not spending?
  21. But then we'd be blocking Chad's inevitable triumph at Grey Cup after which he will be given an engraved invitation on a silver platter written in iambic pentameter to attend the NFL training camp of his choosing and be anointed as their QB1 so that he can escape his "**** contract" and miserable training facilities. (OK, that last part is true...)
  22. As a lifelong Argo supporter, I am conditioned to expect the worst. Usually it doesn't end up that way but it sort of ends up as an ownership and media apathy which borders on malevolence. When you consider how easy it would be for MLSE to cross promote this Club. The oldest professional sports franchise in North America. The 18 time Champions. In its 150th fricking year this year! ...but it's been crickets and vague promises of special events, commemorations and fan bonuses. We'll see where this ends up. The opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference.
