  1. “I’m Tyrone Jones. Can you say blowout? I knew you could.”
  2. Probably #4. I rank the halfbacks first because they usually cover the slotbacks and/or any passes thrown up the middle.
  3. Indeed, with the halfback position being most important. If I were to rank the importance of positions on a CFL team: 1. QB 2. Blind Side Tackle (OL) 3. Defensive Halfback
  4. Plenty of Americans ice fish on Lake Winnipeg on a regular basis.
  5. Thus my reason for beginning with 'I recall'
  6. He always ran the sneaks when he was the starter here - Dinwiddie & Elliot sure didn't.
  7. I recall KG5 actually being pretty good at short yardage.
  8. I detect just a touch of bias there - good sir. Personally, I think the Riders’ O is better than that, and it’s premature to make predictions based on possible concussions and who may or may not resign. But you are indeed telling us what we love to hear...
  9. Did he have you convinced about the Y2K bug?
  10. We will bring in 2018 with a simple, quiet scotch - with the hope that it will toast numerous Bomber victories this coming year.
  11. Agreed - he can probably find work elsewhere. The impact his injury had on the team cannot be overstated.
  12. True - he has very little leverage at this point. 'Do you want to play football for not?'
  13. Water damage is never minor. Moisture assessment, mold assessment, dehumidifiers, et. al. It’s actually worse than smoke damage which at least doesn’t create mold and can mostly be seen and assessed on the surface. For the record, I have been involved in a flood restoration project - I hope Mosaic has the insurance to cover this one. As for Winnipeg critics - you are not wrong about that.
  14. Hilarious. I would assume you have never dealt with a restoration company & have no idea of the cost.
  15. The timeless words of Charles Dickens are always worth reflecting upon: "will you be the one to decide which men shall live and which men shall die? It may be, that in the sight of heaven, you are more worthless and less fit to live than millions like this poor man’s child."
  16. This is strictly based on my own observations, but to me it looks like the soft zone he runs gives the players more space and time to read and react to potential turnover situations. However, on the flip side, I also gives offensive players more room to maneuver when they have the ball, and to get open.
  17. I assume you are referring to the size of the roster being a limiting factor? However, the Bombers have several import positions where the talent needs to be better. Maybe it's just a matter of experience, but what we saw from some positions this year was inadequate.
  18. The top tier is not what I'm referring to.
  19. He's still not wrong. The Bombers do need better international talent at some positions. I have no quarrel with how the Argos won the GC. It's how the CFL works. Make the playoffs and make sure your team is trending up after Labour Day.
  20. If you will have the goodness - to let me begin by saying - it’s the off season...
  21. Feeling compelled to say that it’s the off - season? Post it here - whenever you feel it’s applicable...
  22. You could argue that about any position. What if you had 5 American OL who are the calibre Travis Bond & Stanley Bryant?
  23. There is a drop, but I'm sure if it's the same. I particularly remember being at the game vs. Ottawa when it rained. We had section 102 almost to ourselves. However, we had a great time with a couple of older fellows who were quite knowledgeable.
