It is the safest, most sensible approach - but it does temporarily inflate the numbers. Not necessarily. The regions outside Winnipeg (excluding the North) remain very stable. It is also noteworthy that while cases in the North are spiking - most deaths are still coming from Winnipeg.

The best option RIGHT NOW...sure. But if you don't think there's more corruption than previous governments had, then I don't know what to tell you. They just don't have an opposition leader who is able to do anything about it.
-
I will also add - there is an almost deafening silence from people who used to fill their social media streams with criticisms of the Harper Conservatives.
-
Exactly this. I was in Ottawa for a week in 2016 - the anti Harper hype was ridiculous Trudeau and his flowery speeches were definitely the order of the day If you asked any contrary questions, the media was more than ready with their 'bad Harper stories.'

At this point, pretty much everyone is ready to be a lab rat.

Nice rant. I still see absolutely no point in Americans moving to Canada.

https://www.chrisd.ca/2021/03/01/covid-19-manitoba-people-colour-race-affected/ Interesting article. Manitoba has released a report showing COVID-19 has disproportionately affected Indigenous, Black and other people of colour in the province. “This is systemic and it is seen in every jurisdiction,” Dr. Brent Roussin, chief provincial public health officer, said Monday. Roussin said the province’s race and ethnicity data show a similar pattern to information in other jurisdictions in Canada and around the world. He said it’s not about people in communities making bad choices. COVID-19 infections are largely linked to pre-existing inequities, including in housing and employment. “We know people in (Black, Indigenous and people of colour) communities are more likely to live in lower income neighbourhoods, live in overcrowded and multi-generational households,” Roussin said. “They are also more likely to have low-wage occupations.” Considering that most of the deaths are in care homes - I have to wonder how many low income people actually live in care homes?

I assume you caught my reference? It's what the Mayor of Schitt's Creek orders at the local Cafe.
-
He's not completely wrong. There really isn't much point in Americans moving to Canada.

I hope they served waffles & fried chicken with extra skin for dinner.

The last decade or so, they usually don't, is all I'm saying The OT who played for Montreal, is the last Canadian OT I can recall being a regular at the position.
-
Exactly this. They are playing the percentages. Most players can't consistently elevate the puck, so there is more focus on covering the lower part of the net. For the most part, it works.
-
Yes. 2/5 = 40% And 3 does happen.
-
Nothing says hate...quite like a barnyard analogy.
-
That used to be true. Over 40% of the starting OL are now Americans - Canuck OTs are almost non-existent.
-
Winning in spite of several gaffes and several players having off nights...is a good sign.

Sportsnet Discontinues Radio Broadcasts of Blue Jays Games
Mark H. replied to SpeedFlex27's topic in General Discussion
This sucks. I actually prefer baseball on the radio. -
And probably testing an entire reserve before sending the tests to a lab.

Some sources are reporting 45 cases for today.

How much of the whole right wing / left wing emphasis would you say is actually legit? I have noticed it is mostly the civil service who are making the long term decisions and doing the heavy lifting. Most of what happens when a government comes to power - would have probably happened regardless. They pretend to care about our feelings...😄
-
I know right? If someone passionately wants to open their restaurant without the family group rule...they'll relax the rules at a 3% positivity rate, rather than waiting for 1% or less. Because they asked the public, and the public really wants this...
-
In all seriousness, why are they asking for feedback? They need to base this on numbers and projections...not on how we all feel about it.
-
No, there's nothing wrong with it, but at the end of the day, people need to decide for themselves. Once we have a significant portion of our population vaccinated, we should no longer be fining people for not wearing masks. And if that were to occur, we should consider it a serious problem
-
I'm hoping for masks being made optional in schools, especially with 2 metres seating distance and hand washing in place. Masks are really becoming a drag.

And ordering a pint sized glass of straight rye.
