  1. He doesn't exactly have great tools to work with on that offense Half a dozen crappy snaps today, plus receivers who are underperforming and routinely check out
  2. The good, the bad and the ugly.
  3. You will find whatever you're looking for.
  4. Yes, that's what I noticed when I spent a week at Parliament Elizabeth May was best friends with several Conservative MPs
  5. Ha - perhaps they could start by ending all the useless heckling during question period...
  6. 1. Demski - captain obvious choice 2. Bryant & Co - OL was good tonight 3. McRae - nice job in relief HH: The Jeffs - found one last bit of energy at the end
  7. 10 minutes, give or take. We're on road 90 north
  8. That's absolutely legit. When it comes to covid response in any country, it all depends what you choose focus on. The USA covered most covid treatment costs of uninsured individuals. This was started in 2020 and was only discontinued in the spring of 2022.
  9. I'm aware. But nothing has really changed. 2021 also saw spikes in cases and deaths.
  10. Yes. Both Trump and Biden handed out stimulus cheques to pretty much everyone, whether they needed them or not.
  11. If I'd been living in ND or SD, I could've gotten jabbed quite a bit sooner. Eg. Walmarts had a steady suoply of vaccine.
  12. Vaccine roll out and availability in the US, was quite a bit better than it was in Canada.
  13. I don't think it's the coaching cap. Look at O'Shea: he does a great job of delegating, which allows him to be more of a motivator / overall team culture HC
  14. Most are poor at delegating and put too much on their own plate.
  15. In a sense, I don't blame them for taking the chance - the west has often been indifferent.
  16. Also, there only a few states with a significant population that will vote for either party. Everyone else stays the same, so those states basically determine their federal elections.
  17. Not to derail a thread either, but Kississing Lake is the ultimate. You get to fight some big ass lake trout, and there are places where eater sized walleye litetally jump into your boat.
  18. Yes. At least grain prices have come down a bit.
  19. The numbers are from MTS / my own records - they were mostly the same across the province I have chaired collective bargaining for my local association, for a number of years No, the raises are not in addition to COLA, but in many of those years, the increases were higher than inflation Inflation from 2008 - 2018 ranged from 0.3% to 2.91% Only 2008 and 2011 saw inflation go higher than 2%
  20. Yes. And the systemic problems are not exclusive to any political party However, in education, 80-90% of the funding goes into salaries and human resources You can't build or for that matter 'rebuild' an education system, without putting a big focus on teacher salaries
  21. This is a long standing practice - the roots of our current system trace back to the Industrial Revolution.
  22. I am also more familiar with the education sector. Under the NDP, Manitoba teachers were actually the third highest paid in the world, for several years Finland was first in teacher salaries, Canada was second. Within Canada, Manitoba was second only to Alberta From 2008 - 2010: 3% increase per year 2010 - 2014: 3% the first year, 2% in each of the following 3 years 2014 - 2018: 2% each year, with 3% in the final year This amounts to a 24% increase, during that time period I will say I was not completely surprised - to see some reductions while the PCs were in power.
  23. I need some context here. I am pretty sure the last Conservative regime reduced transfer payments.
  24. Trudeau has also increased transfer payments to the provinces. In these difficult times for health care, this can not be overstated.
