  1. I think it's reasonable enough to say that he doesn't see it as a glaring need, but I think we knew that. That's more than saying he doesn't value it at all. It's all in the context of how you view that response I suppose.
  2. Point me in the direction to any interview where it says KW doesn't value this position.
  3. There is no direct CFL involvement in this. Despite the fact there has been nothing announced directly by the CFL in any of their communication channels, if this was something they were involved in, you wouldn't have seen the announcement happen when it did. They would have waited until after the draft. Aside from that, this being a "league initiative" and "diverting league funds" couldn't be any further from the truth. I don't even know where you got that idea from the 3 Down article you posted. This is a textbook example of how false rumours get started.
  4. There's currently 4 guys who will battle for playing time at that position this season so it's not being ignored. I think you are making a bigger deal out of this than it really is.
  5. Hopefuls as in, the ones who have signed NFL deals??
  6. Getzlaf doesn't play field-side wideout. You're talking about a position that gets 3-5 targets a game. There are fairly serviceable guys on the roster right now that can handle this job.
  7. No way Judge would have still been there anywhere close to 30th.
  8. Throw in a healthy dose of Drake Nevis and I think the D-line should be just fine this season.
  9. That's not the way it works. He made a blatant error and I had to call him out on it.
  10. I'm only nitpicking because it's you. Pick #23 not #24.
  11. I'm actually a little surprised that his name wasn't mentioned out there at all after we added him.
  12. How the hell he sees Vandervoort falling to 13 is beyond me.
  13. If I had to cut 12 guys by Monday based on their performance over the last 3 days alone: WR - T. J. Lowder WR - Xavier Rush WR - Stephen Burton LB - George Stone DB - Terrance Parks LB - Brandon Alexander DB- Robert Porter DB - Tre Hunter WR - Di'Andre Campbell RB - Johnta Hebert WR - Rashon Ceaser DB - Jeremy Harris
  14. Judging by the size of that section it may have only had 700-800 seats at that price.
  15. This year's Grey Cup ticket prices for those that haven't seen them yet.
  16. A $5k fine seems like nothing. It should have be a least $10,000.
  17. A brief statement from the first practice: Very cold and windy, and obviously making things look difficult out there for the first day. It's been very basic so far. Timing and communication issues are evident between the QBs and receivers. Roberson and Duncan appear to be as advertised when it comes to foot speed. Duncan getting some good looks at the boundary spot and was probably the most consistent of the group. Greenwood tracked down an errant pass and had a deep over the shoulder pick on the wide side of the field. On a side note, great seeing the guys on the field after what has been a long off-season.
  18. WINNIPEG, MB., April 26, 2017 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has added International receiver Stephen Burton, International defensive back Roc Carmichael, and International running back Lache Seastrunk. Burton (6-1, 225, West Texas A&M, December 11, 1989 in Lakewood, CA) has played 19 career games over three NFL seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars. He was selected in the seventh round (236th) by the Vikings in the 2011 draft and played three games in 2011 and 12 games in 2012. He played three games for the Jaguars during the 2013 season. In 19 career NFL games, he has 15 catches for 149 yards and one touchdown. Burton was also briefly with the Calgary Stampeders. Carmichael (5-10, 195, Virginia Tech, September 9, 1988 in Laurinburg, NC) is a veteran of 19 career NFL games with Philadelphia and Houston, including two starts in 2013 with the Eagles. He recorded 25 tackles during his time in the NFL. Carmichael also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals in 2015. He was selected in the fourth round (127th) by the Houston Texans in the 2013 NFL Draft. Seastrunk (5-10, 210, Baylor, July 29, 1991 in Temple, TX) was selected in the sixth round (186th overall) by the Washington Redskins in the 2014 NFL draft. He has been on the practice roster for the Carolina Panthers and Tennessee Titans and he attended training camp with the Dallas Cowboys in 2015. Seastrunk played two seasons (2012-13) at Baylor and eclipsed the 1,000-yard in rushing both years. He earned All-Big 12 First-Team honours in 2013 after rushing for 1,177 yards and scoring 11 touchdowns. Seastrunk also spent time with Saskatchewan and Calgary on their practice rosters. The club has also released International linebacker Jeremy Grable.
  19. I need to know what happened next. Does she light up?
  20. Those are all salary related, just said in 3 different ways. The Als weren't willing to pay him what his contract says. That's all there is to it.
  21. Different kinds of offences will yield different actions. You can't really compare a PED offence to an assault. The Violence Against Women initiative I would also think plays a part in how this was worthy of a public statement like this.
