I don't really understand the point of what you're saying here. You're talking about our 4th string QB being a non-factor as if that's a bad thing and the only thing anyone said in response was that it's kind of early to say get rid of the guy when you don't even have a body of work to point to in argument. If you really want to be argumentative, let's point to the fact that the ONLY body of work the guy has for us as fans to measure him by is a 9/10, 75 yard, 1 TD performance in the preseason. Would you cut him based off that? Or simply because he hasn't fulfilled your hopes of a meteoric rise up the depth chart? Of course, then in a fashion that has become so typical of you that you may want to look into trademarking the term "Isoed", you treat any statement that falls contrary to what you said as a personal beef. As far as what I saw? I saw someone say, in simpler terms, "maybe we shouldn't assume he's worth cutting, we don't really have much to go off" tl;dr? What TrueBlue said. "Classic."

He was never that good after an OK rookie year. Peaked incredibly early.

Lots of disconnect between our scouts and coaches it seems.

Christo Bilukdi And Andy Mulumba watch
Mike replied to Blue in the loops's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It really depends. I'm never *expecting* somebody of Doug Brown's caliber, that's for sure. And he's probably going to need to lose some weight to play up here. He's put on about 30 pounds since being in the NFL. -

He does and will. Darren Gill is his agent, you don't hire him if your aspirations are NFL only. -
Bombers add WR Jace Davis & RB Steven Miller to PR
Mike replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Miller is awful. -
Never thought a month ago that the game I'm going to at the end of the year in Toronto would actually be meaningful.

The best (worst) call he made last night was that QB draw after hammering the run game and intermediate passing game on the previous 7 plays. What did he think was going to happen? Even Nichols hates the playbook.
-
No kidding. Terrible roster management again and again.

Lawless Leaves Free Press, Joins TSN Full Time
Mike replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Well done, Lawless. -
Lirim has been arguably worse at punting than place kicking this year. They shouldn't have confidence he can do either spot right now. What?? He's been one of the best (if not THE BEST) directional punters in the league, bar none! Sorry, Noeller. Not true. He's great at angling them, but the hangtime he puts on the ball is absolutely awful. If he doesn't pin it dead on, we give up a big return because he's sent a line drive beyond coverage and allowed them no time to set up.

Week 16 CFL - Mon. - Tor.@ Mont. (Sask. 15 - Hamilton 30)
Mike replied to Mr Dee's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I don't understand this. Are you implying that they're better simply because they're catching more touchdowns? -
I love the Pal.

I liked Joe Hill.

That's ... innovative.

Two minutes in but this has to be one of the worst highlight tapes I've ever seen for a defensive end.

Last Chance Saloon? I'll be next door at Don't Give a **** Tavern. I've lost total interest this year. Franchise player? Out. Offensive gameplan? Uninspiring. Playoff chances? Life support. No thanks.
-
Yeah, that'll absolutely help his confidence....good call. We're in the business of winning football games and he's now cost us at least two. **** his confidence.
-
I think it's fair to say if we had a competent offensive coordinator, we'd see just how big the drop off is.
-
Definitely a noticeable drop off between Willy and Nichols.

Around the CFL Regular Season Discussion
Mike replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
With owners with big wallets who are willing to open them up it should be much better for the team. Add a good schedule and nice stadium that is much better for football than Rogers Centre and it should help get fans out. Rogers, ptuie. That company is run by a family who are just a bunch of CFL-hating wannabe Americans. If Government regulations didn't require them to be headquartered in Canada they'd move to New York faster than you can say "eh?". As a bloke on Esksfans.com pointed out, the silhouette of Rogers Centre is oddly (even though it's sponsored by Shaw, it's still odd) missing from the 2016 Grey Cup Logo. That's because the game will be played at BMO Field. The point is that the silhouette at the bottom is of the Toronto skyline. The Rogers Centre is very much a part of the Toronto skyline. Except in that logo. -
That was me ... WR - he was draft eligible in 2015 but went undrafted. Just a hunch they'll give him a deal too.

I think it's more a case of them viewing Henoc as a luxury at this point. Unbeknownst to a lot of us, Sam Hurl has actually become a pretty good MLB. He plays well within our system and probably doesn't get enough credit. For us to add Henoc was something we could do, but I'm sure we probably capped out our budget at some point. I wanted Henoc back but hey, I'll still gladly take Ian Wild, Khalil Bass, Chris Randle and Sam Hurl. Also - I wonder how much having Waggoner in the system played a part in their decision.
