Osh 4 wins away from 100. Pretty impressive. Only grant has more and believe it’s 102 wins. Quietly O’Shea is becoming the goat of bomber coaches.

Pro sports is fully invested in denying the science of brain injuries, wouldn't want the gravy train to fly off the track.  There really is no solution to preventing concussions without drastically altering the physical nature of the game.  Lawyers are kept busy amping up the protection of the wealthy owners, they need to make sure players sign a detailed waiver before they take the field to keep the cash flowing.

If Brady doesn’t fumble in the red zone…..
If Holm doesn’t miss the assignment forcing Bighill into a “second too late” back-up coverage over the middle on that Montreal TD……
If Collaros makes the proper check down read to Demski on the goal line instead of underthrowing Lawler by 6 inches for a crushing end zone pick…..
If Willie J doesn’t overrun contain on Fajardo on 2nd and 19 and make a sack instead of a 15 yard scramble to set up a manageable 3rd and 4 on the last drive……
If that 3rd down deep pass gets knocked away….
If that game winning TD pass is 6 inches lower and hits the turf or 6 inches higher and gets knocked away…..
    If…….
That’s why I will disagree with the “roster management” narrative peddled by some around here by and large. Our roster that has been put together has been good enough to go to 4 straight Grey Cups, something no team has done in over 40 years. In the end it wasn’t the player A over player B dressing in the 42nd, 43rd or 44th place on the roster costing us the game, it was mistakes by the stars who are no-brainers to be on the roster and who carried the team all year who just did not get it done on that day. Sports…….

Sorry but if you think nothing has changed in terms of preventing head injuries in contact sports you must have been in a coma for the past 30 years.

It feels like football at large is throwing random crap at the wall to deal with concussion issues. Rather than having a well thought out multi pronged approach with defined success criteria.
If it was a revenue concern you know they would have a much better plan and process implemented.

Direct impacts cause concussions for sure. But, change of direction hits and whip effects cause a lot too. Guardian helmets, the new gen helmets, next gen and beyond next gen helmets are all mitigation on a fraction of the causes. Not prevention. It doesn’t matter if you have the 1 piece shoulder pads and helmet or a perfect absorbing piece of future gear. Moving at high speed then being forcefully stopped quickly is terrible on the brain and body. No piece of gear is going to stop your brain sloshing in your skull.
What is needed, to start, is a change to the culture of bringing guys down. Technique changes reinforced by rule changes from the grass level on up. Better gear is always good to have, better self protection when it comes to absorbing hits and going to the ground is as big.

Bailey and Scoen were useless too, and not even paid attention to by the Al's...Demski was not far behind as well, but once the Al's saw when he got the ball he was nowhere near his game breaking self...they played off and totally focused on Lawler and BO....Just sucks that we should be attacking our 5th win in a row if not for coaching failing us

Don't wear a helmet because it won't protect you from hits below the shoulders. Don't wear shoulder pads because it won't protect your knees.

So, you can't put on the guardian helmet because not all hits are to the head? Top level, Dr Booch.

We've been to 4 straight Grey Cups, we've unarguably been the best team in the league for around 1647 days straight. What's your point here exactly? Seems like we've utilized our roster within the constraints pretty damn well, couple lucky bounces and we're 4peat champs. Proof is in the pudding, not sure what you're eating lol.

Unless we're not utilizing all the American roster spots no one is losing an opportunity to a Canadian. Based on our success since 2019 I can't fault our coaches on their usage of Canadian starters and DIs, that would be asinine.
Reducing roster spots for Canadians will negatively impact the development of Canadian players. You may be more interested in the NFL, check it out

I never made that point, I've never been talking about Americans who don't come North lol. I thought we were having different convos, even said that earlier.
How so? You haven't made a coherent point. You understand there are different roster spot allocations for Canadian, American, and Global players right? CFL.ca can explain it for U...

The fact remains, American players aren't getting edged out by less talented Canadians for roster spots. They're up against fellow Americans for import slots and work visas, no more, no less. To snag one of those limited import roster spots you've got to outperform all others (American and Canadian) in your position and prove your value to the team overall. It's as straightforward as that. Having limited roster spots for international players is common world wide aside from the big 4 north american leagues.
And your post doesn't even touch on the point I'm driving at! 😆

For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.

Often the most talented guys are the hardest to bring up and push through the visa process. No different than college programs have to work hard on the high talent guys who struggle with academics.

As it is we will probably never see a guy who cashed NIL cheques in the ncaa up here.
We often have guys on the NL for over a year, that’s not just waiting out nfl chances that’s convincing guys to come up.

It's the American players who aren't talented enough to land an import roster spot and requisite work visa. Simple as that, buddy. This is our League 🇨🇦

Guardian caps are a quick fix for the real problem in pro football: players lacking basic tackling skills. Instead of focusing on proper technique (Square up and wrap, head behind the tackle, drive thru the contact, etc) and penalizing dangerous tackle form, the leagues rely on advanced gear to prevent injuries. This leads to players thinking tackling is just about throwing themselves at opponents like a bowling ball, rather than using proper form. It's a farce of safety theatre
