  1. I’d rather have Burbacher than another RB. Other than that I like the picks. Didn’t love taking Clercius at first. After reading about him, and JBR’s opinion, I’ve come around. Seems like he’s a replacement for the things Bailey could do. Glad they took a few OL to develop, depth is very thin now. Still a crap shoot, but odds are at least one of those guys will be serviceable by ‘25.
  2. Love it. Give him a year. A potential 2025 interior of Eli, Dobson and Wallace sounds nice.
  3. They’re going to be a tough bunch this year. Good thing their QB situation is such a mess.
  4. Farhan has the personality of a dead moth.
  5. Not really crazy about any of our picks so far. No linemen in the first 3 is foolish imo.
  6. Aside from that godawful 1st overall in 2016 or 17. Ekkakite (sp) Walters had a great draft the year they took Loffler in the 4th round
  7. I expect 1 OL, 1 DL and a bunch of jobber “linebackers”. I’m hoping for more but that’s been their track record for Canadian drafting for years now. Walters usually signs impact Canadians as FA’s or supplemental, rarely through the draft.
  8. I don’t know enough about the finer details of hockey to explain why, but yeah it was a totally different team until that high-stick penalty. Just gassed out after a 4 minute PK maybe?
  9. As a casual fan, it was really disappointing to see the refs totally change the pace of the game in the 3rd with that garbage non-call. That being said, the Jets weren’t physical on D at all after they went down 3-2
  10. We could have had a Nathan Rourke in the mid 2000s.
  11. If Chode doesn’t like the CFL money, I could get him a job with me destroying his body with manual labour for about the CFL minimum..
  12. Don’t they still have that 35 year old punter from the Bahamas from last years PR around? Karl Von Schmitz or whatever his name was?
  13. I kind of disagree there. The level of danger for a headshot or freak injury on a punt return is equal or greater for sure. I’d see way more opportunities in the soup for someone to grab and twist an ankle or a knee.
  14. Anyone else irritated by the fact they got Janarion hurt last year by running him up the gut on a gimmick play? I’m all for using ST weapons as part of the offence, but running a 170lb returner up the middle was very foolish imo.
  15. Thompson reminds me a bit of peak Cory Watson in that highlight vid. His stride makes him look kind of slow but he’ll be a beast to bring down.
  16. On another note, with the GC being played in Vancouver, get ready for it you guys. TSN is going to slobber all over the Lions like nothing we’ve ever seen.
  17. How does McInnis replace Whitehead? He was there last year too no? Stanback doesn’t replace Rhymes, they play different positions. Ciante Evans is maybe a slight upgrade over Edwards-Cooper, if Evans doesn’t decline due to age. Can Stove even play? If he can then yeah, that’s an upgrade. I still don’t see how BC’s off-season does anything to rank them above the Bombers, Montreal or Toronto. On another note, with the GC being played in Vancouver, get ready for it you guys. TSN is going to slobber all over the Lions like nothing we’ve ever seen.
  18. The bonus would be if we’d use the designated national rule in the first place. I’d be meh on Lucky. He’s been injured often and age will take a step off, if it hasn’t already Better off to find a good young returner if Grant doesn’t sign imo.
  19. What if there’s an early run on fullbacks though?
  20. Chris Jones is an idiot sometimes, but I don’t see how they pass on Dublanko I agree with Marshall’s prediction of Bombers taking Hergel. He seems to have the attitude and physicality to fit in here. If Wallace slides, maybe but I’d figure him to be on an NFL PR for at least a year or 2.
  21. I’ve heard about that one, it would be cool to see. I’ve always really wanted to see the 1983 WSF as well, where they ended the Edmonton dynasty.
