  1. I think this offence has been figured out by the league
  2. Ugh, I hate any scenario where the losing team takes a knee.
  3. “Possibly a return” lmao
  4. That’s the correct call, rare good job by the command centre
  5. His feet were out and he went back in? Textbook safety
  6. Man that Reggie Stubblefield is a good one. Damn shame, he was so close to being a Bomber.
  7. Collaros looks like Kent Austin in 1996.
  8. I didn’t think so either, ball never crossed until his forward progress was stopped. Offside tho so doesn’t matter anyway
  9. Dumb play by Haba there, the ball was gone wtf are you doing?
  10. Well I missed the first quarter at work, just got home. Guess there’s no point in watching from the beginning lol. This appears to suck.
  11. Considering Bell owns TSN, they can choose to simulcast whatever they want. I don’t think Ambrosie has much to do with it really.
  12. My Dad is a retired teacher. Our whole deal every summer revolved around this when I was a kid. Last day of school, then July 1st BBQ and usually a Bomber game. Pure Canadiana.
  13. Absolutely agree. I preferred when the openers were on Canada Day weekend.
  14. It was Chris Vargas. That game against the Lions was one of the most fun times I’ve had at the stadium. Getting to rush the field as a 10 year old was amazing. There was also a shoving match between Reinbold and Adam Rita over a very late hit on Damon Allen by a Bomber DB
  15. That’s still the loudest I ever heard the old stadium. The upper deck felt like it was going to collapse
  16. I was at that game. They were 3-14 heading into it and won 55-9. I remember the “building towards” interview. The next year they started 0-9 before beating Sask again in the Troy Kopp game. Fans waited nearly 11 months between Bomber regular season victories. It would be a full calendar year (Sept 19/97-Sept. 23/98) between Bomber wins over anyone other than the Riders.
  17. Eli still not starting. Damn. If I see Kolo get bull rushed onto his ass the first series I’m going to lose it. He’s this years Damien Jackson as far as I’m concerned.
  18. Perfect comparison. The 1997 Riders and the 2011 Bombers had a lot of similarities.
  19. Good. Run the ball a bunch, get the new look OL pushing guys around.
  20. Idk, Washington ripped them up pretty good too. People forget how much weaker the AFC was back then. It was pretty much a foregone conclusion the NFC team would win up until the late 90s.
  21. Yeah, I was never a huge fan of Lapo but you’ve gotta be fair, he never had the support from up top when he was HC. The timing of his firing was bullshit. The team had to go on the road for a month to start the season. Lousy QB room and not much other offensive talent to make up for it. Garbage drafting. I’d say he got a raw deal from that management group.
  22. Agreed, I’ve never seen a play caller consistently fritter away leads like that. As a play caller, he always struck me as sitting on his secrets, not wanting to give anything away on film ever and calling the passing game super conservatively until he didn’t have a choice.
  23. Hell yeah, love the super dogs. Only halftime show I’ll stay in my seat for.
