  1. Good for him if he does make the NFL. I’m not worried about Walters holding money back. **** it, go over the cap. Honestly if they don’t win the home GC, it’ll be a full on rebuild anyway. This is the year to throw money around like crazy, 2013 riders style.
  2. Know what, MOS = Dave Ritchie Dinwiddie = Cal Murphy
  3. Personally, I wouldn’t pay both Schoen and Lawler again. I’d lean towards Schoen but it sounds like he’ll be the one heading to FA based of his comments. Put that money towards the trenches and a MLB in FA. From that list I’d keep: Strev, One of the big WRs Bryant, Dobson (not really a fan but you shouldn’t ditch more than one Canadian OL at a time imo) Willie, Garbutt Cole, Parker, Ford, Holm (if not overpaying) Sergio. FA priorities should be linemen (both sides) LB.
  4. Schmeck would make a better project OL, when they had him in the jumbo set he didn’t look out of place. I think he could improve at DL too honestly, year 1 to year 2 was a marked improvement, like the bar was low but still, it’s not like he’s old. He could have a nice career as a 2-way utility guy/depth piece.
  5. Agree with this. I’m trying to choose my words carefully as I don’t want to oversimplify it, but it seems like the past 3 years, the organization has made just getting to the cup an achievement award week/ fun road trip of sorts. I got the impression from interviews that it was more about “soaking it in” and “getting to spend another week with the guys” than preparing to play as they would during the regular season.
  6. They can throw those crappy hockey jerseys in the burn pile as well. 100%. Bring back the football W on the sleeves too
  7. Demski couldn’t run this year, and we didn’t have another Canadian WR on the roster (or the PR even) to replace him. Far down the list of reasons for the loss, just another example. Actually it says a lot about our PR use too, which has been abysmal the last few seasons.
  8. Here’s something positive.. I’m positive they can burn those horrible blue pants now.
  9. I think Terry Wilson will be a good one too. He’s clearly got the arm strength and honestly looks as good or better than Brown did when he first got here. Still think they should have put Dolegala in last night though, experience counts for a lot in that situation.
  10. Yeah, no more creative ST stuff, rarely even throws a challenge flag. Really, zero innovation on offence or ST for 3 years straight now. Even on defence it took a bunch of shitty personnel at DL and LB to evolve it into a gimmick, that while somewhat successful, I’m not convinced is sustainable.
  11. They stepped in to overturn a TO offside, because I guess the guy wasn’t far enough over the line for their liking. Not the reason for the loss, but still a godamn joke nonetheless.
  12. Yeah, both seem to be one trick ponies. If teams don’t let them play video game football, there’s never another answer. It’s hit the deep shots, or suck uncontrollably. Buck (and MOS too honestly) don’t out scheme anyone ever. It’s win or lose on pure talent only.
  13. Bottom line is this team just can’t figure out Toronto, it’s been like that since 2019. We’ve been outcoached in every single game against them.
  14. Outside of Lawler, we didn’t have the personnel for that either.
  15. Agreed. I can forgive him for not being able to get to that one out on the field side he missed on, the 2 over the middle were inexcusable. You don’t catch with your ankle.
  16. Toronto built their team in the image of the 2019/21 Bombers. We had that and rebuilt it into the 2019/21 Tiger-Cats.
  17. The play calling (or decisions by Zach, or both) was like me when I’m losing at Madden. Just “**** it, run 4 verts again”
  18. Contrats Bluto. I hate your team, but I know you’re a diehard. Enjoy it man.
  19. The most positive thing I can say right now is at least 2019 happened. Beat the drought in the last game Cuthbert called, not to mention the last pre-Covid one, when sports in general felt more important. In my lifetime, I did get to see my team shitkick their opponent in a championship game. I did not believe I’d ever be able to say that previously. At the time I said whatever the Bombers do after this, I’m good. Granted, trying to hold myself to that now is a challenge but this isn’t 01, 07 or even 22. Also, they still porked the Riders.
  20. How do you think it would look with Wallace and Dobson’s roles reversed? Dobson seems like he’d fit better as a 6th in run sets or max protect only. To me he looks like he has cement feet in pass pro.
  21. This was driving me nuts. They rolled out Zach once and it worked perfectly, didn’t do it again for the rest of the game.
  22. Yup, Smith would have been 100x better than Lucky returning, I meant botching the Grant situation. And like you said, Walters is the boss. Part of being a good boss is not micromanaging, but part of it is also stepping in when the people underneath are clearly ******* up.
  23. You know they will
  24. Agreed, and that’s not even really a complement to Lapo
