I'm a refugee from the other site too.  I grew up on a farm in the Interlake of Manitoba. Watched my first CFL game on my aunt's TV in  1961 when the Bombers  beat the Ti-Cats in overtime in the Grey Cup. My older brother and I listened to games on the radio and sometimes charted them on pages of foolscap taped together. We made CFL scrapbooks and, although we didn't like cereal, we ate a lot of it just so we could get the Post football and hockey cards on the back of the boxes.  We memorized football and hockey stats together.  What a crazy hobby for a little girl eh?  lol!   When I went to visit the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto by myself as an adult, they had this computer NHL quiz game I played against others.  I stunned the unsuspecting men who came along , beating all of them with a higher score.  Piece of cake!  Haha!
I played women's flag football  (running back, DB and punter) and hockey ( centre) at the U of M  and did some reffing  back in the 1970's.  Sat on the East side ZOO section  at some Bomber games.
Years later, got my nephews interested in the CFL.  Were they ever excited today!  Oh, except the one who lives in Sask and is a fanatical Rider fan.
Since the stadium is way across the city for me now,  and I've been discouraged by the long Grey Cup drought, I've gone to hardly any games.  Also, it's a fairly long walk alone from the bus stop in the dark to get home.  Last time I went a man  was walking the same route back,  which was kind of scary until he crossed to the other side of the street.
I am determined to take in a couple of games next season.  I love the Bombers and the CFL with a passion.

I can't believe Trump still has about 43% support in the USA.  That is more bizzare to me than  Trump's behaviour.

Yes, we're the underdogs, but we have a chance to win this thing.  I'm getting more excited and hopeful as the week goes on.

If Winnipeg beats Hamilton on Sunday, they will have beaten 3 teams in the playoffs who won a combined 40 games in the regular season, which would tie the record for most won games combined by playoff opponents for a Grey Cup champion. Previously done in 1993 by Edmonton, who beat Saskatchewan (11 wins), Calgary (15 wins), and Winnipeg (14 wins), and in 1994 by BC, who beat Edmonton (13 wins), Calgary (15 wins), and Baltimore (12 wins).

The team record that Chris Streveler 'broke' dates back to 1956. John 'Buddy' Leake gained 633 yards rushing that year. Buddy Leake was a starting HB for all 16 games in 1956 and also served as the backup QB to Eagle Day.
Next on the list is Kenny Ploen who had 541 yards rushing in 1960. When not playing QB, Ploen shifted to safety.
Others on the list include: Matt Dunigan 517 yards (1993), Eagle Day 477 yards (1956) & Steven Jyles 452 yards (2010).
    * Leo Lewis did play some QB in 1959 and served as the backup QB for the playoffs & GC. He had 730 yards rushing in 1959.

This is almost like releasing your game day roster, time to declare! Like many others I've come across from the dark side as a result of it suddenly going really dark.
Long time Bomber fan... 50 plus years.  One time season ticket holder, now an out of province (Thunder Bay) fan. I actually signed up as a member on this site shortly after Richard Harris's passing. At the time I found the other site more active and tended to hang there. I've long ago forgotten the username I signed up here with so I opted to go with an alternate email address and my username  from the other site.
No particular preference for one site or the other really, its all football to me.

I think some of you who grew up as white boys in a large city in a large school, and who were in touch with popular culture all your lives have no understanding of people who are older and grew up without English as their first language, no TV,  flush toilets,  no warm water (until later), no gym in their schools, nearest neighbours  10 miles away, and rarely saw a magazine or newspaper. I didn't see a black person until I was 9 yrs old when a black teacher came to our isolated community with his blonde wife and blonde daughter.  They were immediately accepted because we were a community of immigrants who had been persecuted, called displaced persons,  given the worst land in the province, etc.
Once I saw a picture in Life magazine of  a fountain and a washroom marked Whites and another said Negroes. I asked my Mom why people have to drink from different fountains and go to different washrooms, and she said  They don't know any better in the States.
It's not your fault you make quick judgments about such Canadians as my nephews are white privileged city boys too who can't imagine such a life and sometimes just can't help laughing when they hear how my parents and I grew up.
Along the line, even in university in the early 70's, I missed blackface.  Sorry!

Let me solve the mystery for you. Bobby Kraemer become a committed Christian and felt a higher calling  ... to start Athletes in Action.  https://p2c.com/bob-kraemer-70s-post/
Matthias Goossen was the spiritual leader for Blue Bomber Christians before he felt called by God to become a policeman.
You might be surprised at how many devout Christian CFL players there have been and are, and how this has affected the moves and trades by some coaches and players in the CFL over the years.  It explains the Wally Buono and Hufnagel connection for example.  Pinball Clemons, Milt Stegall,  Anthony Calvillo , Henry Burris, Kerry Joseph. coaches Dave Ritchie and the deceased Richard Harris, and now Cody Fadjardo  and a host of others make decisions of where to go and what to do based on where they feel God is leading them.
Every year Athletes In Action hosts a breakfast at the Grey Cup that always sells out.

Btw, one year Athletes In Action organized a  CFL vs NFL flag football game  which both sides took very seriously, and the CFL won
Also, one reason Henry Burris was so offended when he was criticized by Milt Stegall a couple of years ago  was because they share the same faith. Milt  felt that, even if they are Christian brothers, he had to be honest and challenge him to be more mature.
