  1. The personal fouls on Wild and Goosen...not sure how those get called.

Whatever I , and others who went, paid to be there, it was worth it not to have to deal with TSN openly cheering for the Riders.

I feel for those who watched on TV

  2. Watching this game on TSN.

Carmichael got lit up, knew it in the stadium, but yeesh rough first game. Take that away and the D was not too bad.

    Personal fouls hurt (fixable)

Leggett almost got a late pick on a classic Glenn panic play.

That looked like a fumble by Grant Sr. to me.

Okpo had a better game than I thought. The play where he takes on two lineman in the backfield and hauls down Marshall was Bananas.

Loffler got caught in coverage against 82 way too long on extended plays..hard for any DB to make that work let a lone a safety.

Riders really had a lot go their way.

Two games in and Carter hasn't contributed much, he'd better step it up as this is pretty much his last chance to do so in the CFL.

If you count him standing on the bench and waving a towel,  or having his goofy mug on the jumbotron, he contributed a lot Saturday.

Yea looked nice but didn't seem as loud.

Players, management and media said as well that IGF facilities are NFL like and state of art so looks like both cities have top notch venues.

Each one has features that are better than others but I think IGF looks better gamewise when being broadcast on TV and seating is closer and more over the field for a better viewing experience and makes it more intimate and louder.

Also from what I have heard from players who played there Saturday that they feel IGF gets louder and is more a factor

The seating at IGF definitely feels more on top of the field.back row upper deck at midfield at their stadium seems miles away.

I also don't like the way the upper decks cut off there. Looks weird to me. They should be happy though.

From a fan standpoint, I expected to be blown away by the new Mosaic and I wasn't. It's a beautiful stadium, but all things equal, my personal preference is ours. Could just be that certain things are incomplete, but a big thing for me is that the concourse is entirely closed off for the most part and it's impossible to watch the game while you go get a drink. No screens in the concourse either.

The walkways also feel super narrow and the seats feel ridiculously cheap.

Lots of leg room, Pils Country looks like a blast and I can't wait to be there for the LDC, the overall stadium looks great but there are reasons I prefer ours.

I agree. I didn't mention it in the other thread, but the location, and, or depth of the cup holders are weird to me.

They seem low to the ground and shallow.

good stuff, how was traffic after the game?

It was pretty bad but it is what it is. What it is , is 33k in an area bounded by train tracks and neighbourhoods with narrow streets.

We parked and walked 20 mins away.

    It was also Canada Day.

Can't speak to the bus system.

They appear to have copied our traffic buster idea (allowing people on to the field at IGF) by attempting to divert people to Confederate Park post game.

  7. We drove out for the game.

I truly love IGF, but the seating configuration is pretty basic. Mosiac definitely has some cool/unique viewing areas.  No doubt they have a great little stadium. The city itself...pass.

Some of the things I didn't like (that are mostly nit picking I guess) are that the upper level concourses are really congested and oddly designed. At least where we were. Other parts of the lower concourse seemed to get weird bottle necking.

The ramps are also really narrow, and the exit from the ramps on the street is like you are fleeing a crime scene through a narrow doorway (more bottle necking).

The leg room in our section was good. The seats themselves seem really low budget. Like you could rip them outta the concrete low budget.

The field lighting is pretty underwhelming. The place seems dark. Actually lighting all over the stadium was not great.

Their 13th man flag is enormous...like super enormous. Almost distracting haha.

The don't really show away team stats much on their main board.I think it came up a couple of times.

Their PA and music is so insanely loud. Very annoying.

Overall, they did a great job on it. The fans we met were very nice (complete opposite of what you see online). Many thanked us for coming and even came to shake our hand before and after.

I have de-railed the thread but did not know if this was worth starting a new topic.I do reccomend going to a game there. We had a roller coaster of a game and came out with a dramatic W and started a new era of Bomber winning in that stadium. So, I leave happy.

Since we don't count preseason, how does anyone actually know anything about some of their new starters? Which is a lot of their team.

For instance, does anyone know anything about their D line? got one game to base it on.

I haven't heard of any of them.

Maybe they're decent. Find out tomorrow.

I know they are a chaotic mess, but who knows. I doubt our coachs take them lightly.

I think the Bombers will win, but it may not be the stomping we'd all like to see.

Neither do we have psychology on our side in this stadium opener ...

I disagree. I cannot think of anything more fun in the regular season than ruining this party.Making that place go silent.

This is not wacky old Taylor Field where a historically shitty team raised up once in awhile playing in their crap stadium in the middle of nowhere. It has no history. What it has is the burden of expectation placed on the back of a bad football team.

The Riders have a world of pressure on them without the talent to fall back on. The team, and the fans that are clear minded, know that.

Use that against them...really looking forward to it.
