  1. I find your remarks kinda funny. Of everybody here, all we have ever seen & heard from you for years is Trust The Trinity. Trust The Trinity. Looks like you suddenly quit worshipping & kissing their feet. Seems your belief in the three isn't what you claim it is, Oh. ye of little faith. The 2025 Grey Cup is two seasons away & quite frankly, I don't care about that damned game right now. I care about 2024 just like I cared about any other season we were going into. I worry about the present & not the future down the road. If we try to build to win a Grey Cup at home in 2025 then it'll be an abysmal failure. The team is right to care about winning this coming season & not in 2025. Next season includes Zach Collaros.
  2. Well, you're not the HC or GM so clearly the Bombers won't be moving on from Zach. It's a qb wilderness out there. Do you see who's available & who we could sign to replace Zach if we traded or released him? Other than Dru Brown (who has only a little body of work as a starter) there's guys like Marcus Fine, Dane Evans, Matthew Schilz & Jake Dolegala. Throw in MBT & maybe Streveler (who isn't a starting qb) & I'll take Zach every day of the week.
  3. Not with the assclown Commissioner still running the show.
  4. Winning starts in the trenches. If a bad team wants to change its fortunes that where you start. Look at Lawler in Edmonton in 2022 or Gino Lewis there last season. Getting production out of one star wideout never helped. Solid linemen on both sides of the ball win games. We started winning in 2015 when our lines began to play better. They aren't exciting picks but linemen win championships.
  5. Brady is making a lot of public appearances. It doesn't look like he's getting any NFL workouts. I expect he'll be back.
  6. Harris hasn't bailed from the VI Raiders yet.
  7. I just get the impression that Mac Jones thinks he knows more than his coaches. With a miserable SOB for a HC. constant losing & a qb with a chip on his shoulder it must be so much fun to go to work.
  8. Some guys will have to go thru attrition in order to keep Schoen & other key free agents.
  9. No, he could become a backup. What's wrong with that? We need depth. Kolo played alright for us last year. He's not an All Star but the guy can play. If Eli replaces him, fine. Yep, agree. Getting rid of Kolo would be a mistake.
  10. Why? That team is total garbage. How is a wide receiver going to help them? Bad teams like that shouldn't trade away picks for players as it's a band aid approach. Their fanbase will explode. Now, if the qb they want is unavailable they could trade down to take the best OL available which is OT Olu Fashano from Penn State at OT. Or they could just pick him first overall Looking at their record they'll probaly have the first pick so they know who's available & what they want.
  11. i watched the 49ers game yesterday. Charles Davis, the CBS analyst doing the game has been on tv a long time. He began to talk about Brock Purdy & his Mr Irrelevant tag. He said that he is also a scout & personnel analyst for the NFL Network & continues to be. He said he takes great pride in doing that. He said he & just about every scout blew it about Purdy. They all underrated him as 2022's draft class went on & made a mistake. Davis said that happens every once in awhile.
  12. The Panthers are such a misfit organization.
  13. He never played that badly. We were the best OL in the CFL. Jut giving the guy some props. Are their worse? Sure but he held his own.
  14. The Caleb Williams sweepstakes between the Cardinals, Panthers & Pats is now on. If Williams is selected by New England, how much playing time will Rourke even see? Also, rumours circulating that Bill Belichek will be fired after the season so a new coaching staff will be a huge unknown for Rourke. They may not want him.
  15. If you think Kolo could be a starter elsewhere then why not just stay here? He was far from the worst OL on the roster.
  16. Yep, Lawrence will have a hangnail & it'll be nothing but tweets galore.
  17. No, I just wonder if I'd live today while waiting alone for a bus on the east side of the Bay at 11;30 pm at night nowadays.
  18. I'm one of the oldtimers on this site. I don't want to invoke the age thingy where I say the fans had it a lot harder 50-55 years ago. All the weeknight home games during the season started at 8 pm on Tuesdays, Weds & Thursdays. As well as 2:30 pm on weekends. Mostly Sunday. No one complaind about the time the games started saying it's too late for kids. Before I had a drivers license, I'd take a Stadium Bus from Riverview (where I lived) at Osborne & Jubilee all the way to the stadium. We'd pass through Riverview, go west on Corydon Avenue & into River Heights ending up on Kenaston & taking the St. James Bridge all the way to the stadium. The bus ride took 90 minutes with about 30 stops on the route. After the game, I'd run for the bus parked at the stadium that would take me from the Stadium to the East Side of the Bay where I'd wait for the Osborne bus to take me home. Sometimes I'd go right back to where I picked up the bus at Jubilee stopping at the opposite side of Osborne. Or get off at Morley Avenue & take the bus to the end of the route where I lived. Getting home after midnight & having to be at Churchill High the next morning for 8:25 am. No one ever complained. Fans just went to the games.
  19. Because the TSN hype train led by Dave Naylor & Farhan Lalji kept force feeding us this guy. They made him out to be this CFL superstar who was just too good for the league. That somehow we were blessed to see him play. Now? Sure he's getting paid to sit on the Jags PR & good for him but sitting on that PR doesn't make him a better player. And no one wants to pick him up. He can stay on a PR forever for all I care. Being buried like that on the JAX roster is just an unforseen detour. Lately, we haven't agreed on a lot of things but yeah, I feel the same way about Rourke as you do & I too, am pissy about it. Rourke can stay down there forever for all I care but he knows that once his NFL intentions are gone, he'll come back.
  20. You mean no one wanted to trade for the biggest superstar in waiting? A nation's heart breaks.
  21. I don't get it. Since when did CFL fans become the whiniest & most entitled sports fans in the world? Everything the CFL does when it comes to scheduling is never right. Always wrong. Someone always complains about something. Fans don't like Sunday games. Oh, weekend games means they have to come back from the lake. Thursday night game are stupid. Games start too late. Games start too early. Oh, it's a school night so I can't take my kids. Well, if they have to be in bed before 9 pm then don't take them as they're too young anyway. Go with someone else. The Jets play home games on Mondays & Tuesdays which is a helluva lot worse than Thursdays & no one complains.
  22. "All it takes... All it takes." We hear that all the time. Yeah, sure. Dream on. The Jags will trade for a qb before they hand the keys of the team to Rourke. I'm loving the angst shown by the cheerleading Canadian media & fans for the guy. If he would have shown just a little bit of gratitude for how the CFL helped him, I'd have a bit of sympathy for his plight. But nope, pretty clear he felt he was too good to play for the Lions so I have no sympathy for him languishing on the PR behind a slug like CJ Beathard.
  23. And he would have made over $700,000 in BC. They were going to open the vault for the guy but he couldn't wait to find his way out of his unforeseen detour.
  24. Personally, I can't stand Rourke & the continued hype over him. He went to the worst team he could have signed with in Jacksonville. Doug Petersen has no intentions of ever playing him unless total disaster strikes. Let him sit on the PR. And if Rourke is that highly thought of in NFL circles then why wasn't he picked up by another team on waivers? This is twice now. Maybe because he isn't as good as people up here think he is. He's been waived twice & hasn't been claimed.
  25. If Rourke hadn't taken that unforeseen detour then he'd be nowhere today. He never showed any respect to the CFL. A league that got him to Jax & the NFL.
