  1. Well, I don't know about ugliness but both guys need another 10 years of work to put in before they can even be considered top guys in WWE. Or in the business. They are talented but they're young. It took about 10 years for Sean Michaels to reach the pinnacle & he went through the AWA & then WWE in order to do it. He was just another athletic pretty boy for a long time. Until the day he shocked wrestling fans by turning heel & throwing his tag team partner Marty Jannetty through a mirror. By then, he had learned his craft & was ready to become "The Show Stopper" even though it still was a few years more until he won the World Heavyweight Championship belt. Look how long it took Samoa Joe just to make it to the WWE or AJ Styles. They went out & made a name for themselves years before before they got to the WWE. No one gave them any push. Gable isn't getting a huge push other than working with Shelton Benjamin but Jordan still has to earn the respect of their peers & the fans which hasn't happened. You'd think that WWE would have learned from the artificial push they gave Reigns after the negative fan reaction. He's being cheered again as a member of The Shield.
  2. You should see it in Calgary with an arena for the Flames. Unemployment still high here. Even though I think an arena deal will get done it will cause a lot of rancour. Forget about any stadium for the Stampeders. is there really enough population for Halifax to support a team as that's where the majority of fans will come from& then secondary sales from surrounding areas & provinces. Halifax couldn't even support a couple of AHL teams over a period of time with cheap tickets.
  3. Triple H has always been accused of putting himself ahead of the younger talent. This time, when it came to Jason Jordan, glad to see it. So did the fans with "Thank you Hunter" chants when he took JJ's spot on the Raw Survival Series team & pedigreed the kid. Hopefully the push is over for him.
  4. Too much analytics, perhaps?
  5. That's my point. It isn't & the level of great tackling has diminished. Some teams are better than others now but as the seasons progress & players come & go, it should all even out I'd think.
  6. This is what you get if you had a hard on for Mulamba all these years to be in a Bomber uniform. I said time & time again since 2013 when Mack drafted him, only to be severely criticized when I mocked the Mulamba threads that used to pop up... I only care about the guys who put on the Blue & Gold uniform. Not the guys that don't or may never. He hasn't shed one ounce of blood, sweat & tears for the Bombers. He's nothing to me but a name until he actually signs here & makes the team.
  7. Who would he beat out on that DL? I don't think he can waltz in here as this big time NFL practice roster player & take a job away.
  8. They still practiced until the rule changes. Now, every team is the same. So, I expect you'll see more whiffed tackles or even injuries from making tackles. I could be wrong but that's what I think. Even professionals need to practice fundamentals. They get sloppy if they don't.
  9. Mulamba can go suck an egg. Retire. Do something else. We don't need him.
  10. It will become a problem. League wide but the CFL is trying to do something about player safety.
  11. Halleujah, a beacon of light down a dark tunnel. Maybe there is some hope that Kyle Walters does understand the defensive problems & there will be changes.
  12. Tackling techniques are bad because the CFL teams don't practice in pads anymore. You can't go full out in drills focusing on fundamentals with little or no protection.
  13. Exactly financing & running a CFL team compared to an NHL team is miniscule in comparison. That being said, Halifax doesn't have the desire to build a 25,000 seat stadium costing upwards of $150-200 million. I don't think it happens.
  14. Most CFL kickers come fromU Sports so maybe he's The Next One.
  15. Who was the kicker the Bombers drafted from U Sports?
  16. Burke had PTSD. He was completely broken.
  17. So many more opportunities for Steinhauer in the NCAA & perhaps later the NFL. I'll be shocked if he ever comes back. Thorpe is out there.
  18. You want Hugh O'Neill kicking for the Bombers?
  19. Yeah, don't know much about the rules so I'll take your word for it, thanks.
  20. I don't like Jones. At times, I think he lacks integrity as he cheats. The roster situation last year with practice players & working out Johnny Manziel even though he was on the Ti Cats Neg List. He is an embarrassment to the Riders at times but between he & John Murphy they kept signing players at all positions. They totally revamped their team on the fly & well, you can't argue with results. Doesn't mean I like his methods but he ultimately was successful. What did the Bombers do? Stood pat. Really didn't bring in a lot of players especially at receiver & defensive back to challenge the guys we had. We decided to go with "the guys that brung us here", so to speak & management never really challenged the roster to get better. Which really hurt us when the injuries started. Was that a mistake? I'd have liked us to have been more aggressive but do we have the scouting staff with the connections John Murphy has? At times I wonder. I think you sign players, evaluate & add them as needed if they are better than the players we already have. That's what I think. We were very passive with personnel issues. It cost us yesterday.
  21. Wait, earlier you were saying coaching had nothing to do with anything yesterday. That what happened was all related to personnel issues. Now, you're saying good players make coaches great. Whose fault is it if the MLB is expected to eat blockers? That's all coaching. You just contradicted yourself.
  22. I believe PR players are free agents & can sign anywhere as they aren't under contract once the season is over. Isn't that what happened with Brian Bennett last year at this time? The Riders signed a bunch of players off PRs as soon as the regular season ended IIRC.
  23. O'Shea said he was afraid of Reilly & wanted to keep him off the field. Which leads to desperation decisions like that.
