No we didn't. We were last in so many categories with last season defense. Teams ran all over us. They passed all over us too. Our offense scored a lot of points & won games. This year they're struggling offensively.

And those are the ones we bring in.

We could have had Hurl in there. Imagine our defense then. My point is a different Dc might have used him differently where he would have been a difference maker. Imagine Bighill in a Noel Thorpe defense. We could have found out if our numbnuts head coach had made a move to bring him in after the season ended last year.

Don't be a smartass. The guy has 3,243 carries for 16,116 yards & a 5.0 yard average. In his mid 30's during his final season (1975) he had 323 carries which is over 20 carries a game. The guy suffered a broken leg in 1970. Other than that he never missed any time during his career. The guy was a workhorse. In his era, they played 2 & even 3 running backs at the same time.

We really should have 2 back offenses in the CFL. Everyone runs a single back system & backs get hurt. It affects just about every team.

Marshall was the 90's. What a freaking load he was. He weighed 240 lbs & just ran straight ahead.

Good thing we have that insurmountable 14 point lead against such an (im)potent Als offense.

Guys like George Reed, Blake Marshall & Jim Evenson back in the day would have 25-35 carries in a game & be in their 30"s. They had no problem being every down players at their old age never being injured. Some guys just can't take the punishment.
