  1. You can't have a tandem block on the LOS. No double teaming. Someone blocks a guy high while another chop blocks the legs. Leaves the player defenseless to injury. I think Bighill's block was legal.
  2. Got our 2 tickets. Coming in from Calgary.
  3. Okay, you convinced me. My take on Maksymic is wrong.
  4. It's only a thought. Woukld probably never happen here. I actually think that Jordan Younger is the new heir apparent here. Buck's stock seems to have fallen sharply. Our D despite some strange roster decisions from our HC is playing pretty well.
  5. I'd be interested in Jordan Maksymic. I think he's the best OC in the CFL. He might be able to bring a few free agent Lions with him. Hoewver, he'll be the next Lions HC by the time Osh leaves.
  6. Corey mace said today that the Riders aren't having any fun. Good. I hope they're miserable.
  7. MBT is a better qb. Maier forces the ball into tight spaces & his balls just float & are picked off easily.
  8. I didn't know what your point was. I was left a bit confused by why you would post that after my comments about Jauch. Some of the older fans here would have remembered him leaving the Bombers & being replaced by cal Murphy. The younger fans here probably never knew. So, i thought I'd tell that story. If you meant no insult then I'm not offended.
  9. The Stamps sign Matthew Schilz & he wastes away on the bench.
  10. The greatest Bomber Head Coaches in my lifetime. 1. Grant 2. Osh 3. Murphy 4. Mike Riley 5. Jauch
  11. Miller? Nah, don't think so... Maybe 5 or 6 years from now.
  12. Or he's released & we'll never know as the team will never tell.
  13. I think a lot of players feared Cal. They were prepared to play because they were afraid not to be. Whereas, O'Shea is a players coach who sticks with his players through good & bad. With Cal, if someone made a mistake that cost them a game the chances are they'd be gone. Both coaching styles win. Just different philosophies. I never said that but carry on.
  14. Jauch was a spectacular CFL head coach but he never stayed with one team long enough to get the rankings the guys who coached long term with one team. Like, Grant, Wally, Frank Clair & Osh. I never understood why Jauch bugged out so fast to go coach the Washington Federals in the USFL when he had such a great team here. He was like Chris Jones. He couldn't wait to leave. The Bombers had a news conference in August of 1982 to announce he was leaving. They were being productive as the news would have broke he was leaving & become a distraction. Unfortunately, Jauch became a lame duck head coach. I'll never forget Jauch & Earl Lunsford at that news conference. Neither looked at each other & they sat 10 feet apart. Pretty awkward atmoshere. Obvious to me that they had a shouting match once Lunsford found out as Jauch was still under contract. I'm sure Lunsford wanted to fire him but realized the team was as good as Edmonton that year so he kept him around. So, they compromised by announcing his departure. Coaching in the USFL was a disaster for Jauch. He had a last place team & fired after his first loss in his second year
  15. Calgary is just a nothing burger as a team. Beggelton is their only receiver. Nobody else catching the ball is a threat. No run game. Their OL is sub par even with their starters in there. Forget injuries on the OL as it doesn't matter. They're bad no matter what. Defensively, their Front 7 is pretty good but their secondary is a mess.
  16. Calgary isn't a good team. If Tre Ford was playing this would be a runaway for Edmonton.
  17. Congrats to Mike. Winning one hundred plus games & counting is a real milestone. The Bombers having two head coaches with over a hundred wins each is really something.
  18. Just like the guy who killed Johnny Gaudreau & his brother. Upset that he has to spend the long weekend in jail. Thinking they have some kind of entitlement.
  19. It doesn't really matter when you have a team like we had the past 4 years where we dominated offensively. However, now that we don't we're starting to see Buck's shortcomings. Thinking the same thing about Younger.
  20. Buck seemed to be the heir apparent here taking over from Osh whenever he decides to leave. I mean, knowing the Bombers they will promote from within. However, I don't think he's a shoe in to be a HC here anymore. He seems limited in his game planning & adjustments. It really shows with the struggles of Zach Collaros.
  21. Agreed. I'm jut saying that at 30 he may have lost a step. I don't know if he has. Just speculating.
  22. The thing is, even if I agreed that you both are correct & our OC continues to neuter Streveler. So then, the question has to be asked... Just why is Streveler here? If Buck can't design plays to take advantage of his abilities then he's wasting a roster spot. And the development of another qb who could turn out to be another Dru Brown. Buck may not be smart enough to use Streveler the way he should. Rivers could run every play in the Chargers playbook. I doubt that Streveler can do that here. I think that's the difference.
  23. I respectfully disagree. This has been an issue since Streveler first got here in 2018. His throwing mechanics appear to be off & 4 years in the NFL doesn't looks like it made a difference. If at 30, he can't run a pro offense then it's time to move on.
  24. He's 5 years older & may have lost a step. He's a physical player who has taken his lumps.
