You talk to a lot of Elks fans & they hated the name change. You can argue it didn't but it clearly did. How could it have not? Most fans felt the name change was pandering to progressives especially when not all Indigenoue groups up north said the name Eskimos bothered them. What if there was a movement in Winnipeg to change the name Blue Bombers because some progressives found it offensive & glorified war as it honours a WW2 American bomber? So, then the team changes our name to the Aeroplanes? There'd be a lot of pissed off fans who'd stop buying tickets. If you have 30,000 season tickets & you lose half that number to fans refusing to buy tickets to home games anymore then it becomes a bad situation. Then also throw in bad management on a bad team which is what happened in Edmonton. Go woke. Go broke. It is what it is. And it's very accurate. You mess with a beloved iconic sports name & this is what happens. The team forgot about the fans trying to please the others who didn't give a ****.

You won't agree with me but the way I feel is a coach who wants to establish a winning culture should show some restraint & just walk off the field with a little bit of class like he knew his team was going to win all along. Let his players celebrate. If Bob Dyce wants to run on the field acting like a lunatic jumping, screaming & fist pumping when his kicker (who rarely misses) kicks a walk off field goal or the RedBlacks win in OT then maybe it's Karma if he & his guys get shitted on after a game. I'm not saying that the Rider Reject was right but maybe Dyce deserved it. Perhaps it was Dyce who was the problem. It's no fun when things don't work out.

I dislike both teams probably the most in the CFL. Mace looks like a head coach who thinks he's the smartest guy in the room & he ain't. Watson may be a POS as a person & in reality, he should be banned from the NFL. However, he isn't & talent wise, Watson is a much better qb than Rourke. Plus he was drafted & Rourke wasn't so not a lot invested in Rourke by any team.
