  1. So, 52/48 or 48/52? Comme ci, comme sa...
  2. The biggest idiot is Calgary Herald & Sun writer danny Austin. He'd put 10 Stamps on the All CFL team. He seems to think all the players are his buddies & pumps their tires constantly. Although he did seem to turn on the team a bit this past weekend after that loss in BC.
  3. The story is he's a big time prospect. They said that it could be the biggest FA signing Dickenson has ever made. The problem is, he won't pick up the Canadian game with the snap of his fingers. Walker is 30. By the time he understands the CFL playbook & defenses he'll be 33/34 years old & time to retire. So, for me, if that's the projected Jake Maier replacement it's a ******* dumb signing. I saw it on Saturday after the Elks-Rider game. I believe Jamie Nye tweeted it. Since then, silence by the Elks & also by Nye.
  4. So, living in Calgary, I don't know if I got this right or not. The 1984 Grey Cup Champs are going to be honoured on Friday night at the Bomber game before being inducted into the manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. My complaint is, why are they doing this in October? The football season starts a month before NFL teams go to training camp. Why not do this in June? Tom Clements coaches in the NFL with Green Bay. he's not available once the third week of July starts for the rest of the CFL season. He was the game's MOP for crissakes & I don't think Matt LaFleur will allow him the time off to come to Winnipeg to be part of the induction ceremony or the game Friday. Little has been done for Clements by the club since he left recognizing him for the 4 1/2 seasons he played for the Bombers. I kinda feel that he's been snubbed. This should have been done in June as he desrves to be there.
  5. He'll get nominated for something screwing a more deserving player out of an award. Someone who has been there for every practice & games. Not just 6.
  6. Brady for MOP. Ford for MOC. That's how I'd do it. The screw job for Oliveira is on. You can just see how the media in this country hates the guy. As far as Rourke goes, how the media in BC can vote for that guy after just 6 games & no td passes in the last 3 is just incredible. Adams should have demanded a trade out of there. He's too nice a guy so he gets walked on. And Campbell has trampled him to death.
  7. We've already got our "league qb" in Jake Dolegala. Why would the Bombers sign another if the plan is to being back Streveler? One would hope that their are more long term plans for the qb room if we can sign someone better. I won't be happy if our backup is Streveler once again. A player shouldn't have six or 7 seasons of longevity based on just our 2019 Grey Cup run. Streveler did phenomenal that season but it's clear that Buck will never use him the way LaPo did so it's time to move on. We need to find a legit replacement for Collaros.
  8. Like I said earlier, the rest of the league want to screw over Brady. Again. I wouldn't be surprised if Rider brass pays the media off to vote for Milligan.
  9. Anyone else getting tired of seeing this, "Milligan For MVP" campaign going on thanks mostly to the Riders fanbase, Glen Suitor & TSN??? Or, in other words the, "Anybody But Brady" movement dedicated to screwing him out again for the League's MOP Award? What about that kid that played when Fajardo was injured? he looked like a great long term prospect.
  10. On X today, their are tweets that have said Tre Ford refused to play yesterday. I guess Ford was given a package of plays & wen jackson wanted him to go in , Ford refused because he was pissed off he wasn't starting. If true that he refused to play, he may have been the difference between winning & losing. I'd let him rot on the sidelines & let him walk in free agency. Guys like Ford who put themselves ahead of their teammates then he could be a cancer in the locker room. Yeah, Jones & Jackson screwed up with his playing time. Still no excuse to be so selfish.
  11. I think the fans have seen this team screw up many times & took a wait & see attitude. I will say this that attendance was better with Vaj. The guy was having a helluva season before it was snatched away from him.
  12. I can't stand the Riders.
  13. When Adams was playing, he was lighting it up. He was throwing the ball & completing passes all over the place & pushing the ball vertically downfield. Now, with Rourke, Hatcher can't get any separation because of his achilles injury. The other receivers suddenly can't block & they're suddenly a sub par group. Nothing about Rourke playing like ****. Campbell is coaching like he wants to be elsewhere next season.
  14. The problem is Shivers took his hatred & brought it into his job as GM of the Riders. He even took shots at the Stamps & Wally. The guy that gave him his first opportunity in football management & made him Stamps Asst GM. He never kept his prejudices away from his profssional life. Yet everyone else was expected to do that.
  15. Wilson looks like he may have a huge upside to him as a player. I just can't see Streveler back here next season. Rourke is playing & looking confused. Like he's beginning to wonder why the Red Sea isn't parting for him as it did 2 years ago. Meanwhile, the better qb on the team just sits on the bench not playing no doubt planning his escape come February.
  16. down two scores & Milanovich lost his challenge. https://tenor.com/view/grumpy-cat-gif-13873303913321973436
  17. I really don't like PI being allowed to be challenged.
  18. Our KO coverage is not very good.
  19. Gawd, I hate games like this.
  20. When did he say that? I can't see anything like that on X. Can you quote him?
  21. This goes back to Danny Barrett & GM Roy Shivers in 1999. Shivers set the standard for the culture they have now. Some of the players he had brought in were talented but lacked character & it showed in their behaviour on & off the field. There was that huge brawl in a bar in Regina as well as the player with aids who was sleeping around with different women & not telling them that he was sick. Then Shivers had a big mouth. I remember how he mocked the Bombers as well as the Ti Cats organizations twenty years ago. Never had a league executive ever personally attacked other teams in the league. He called them both Mickey Mouse organizations. it was shocking at the time. The guy always had a chip on his shoulder when it came to race relations in football. Obviously, Shivers suffered a lot of prejudce & racism growing up which shaped the man he became. However, he brought that prejudice to the league level. It isn't really what the CFL was all about, historically. I think he was friends with Huey Newton & Bobby Seale, two of the founders of the Black Panthers in Oakland, CA. Although Shivers was never a member of the BP. Eventually, his behaviour & attitude got him fired. When a culture has been entrenched for two decades, it just doesn't go away like that.
