  1. WTH would the Stamps OL be fist pumping after the Calgary Center Lawrence had a holding penalty? Especially since their line has played like **** all year. And Arbuckle threw a pick. Just buckle up your chinstrap & make up for the hold.
  2. Oh, Cleon Laing hurt. Too damned bad. One of the dirtiest players in the game.
  3. I don't think he's that bad. It's the system he plays in.
  4. Better than a packed transit bus that stops every block.
  5. What people who ***** & complain about how far they have to come now to a game at IG Field than at Canad Inns forget is how far others had to come to watch a game at Polo Park for nearly 60 years. And WE didn't whine, *****, complain about it or stay home. I grew up in Riverview & it was an hour by car with traffic & 90 minutes by bus. It was what it was & we just sucked it up & went to the games.
  6. Have you seen the attendance in Calgary tonight? I doubt if 15,000 are in the seats tonight. McMahon Stadium has C Train & bus service right to it. One of the easiest places in the city to get to. And a shitty crowd.
  7. How James F ranklin was the starter over MBT is beyond me. He is head & shoulders better than Franklin. The Argos may not win with MBT but they may not win if Tom Brady was their qb.
  8. "Looked like" are the 2 key words. There wasn't enough evidence to change the call.
  9. It sure is true that bad teams find ways of killing themselves.
  10. Kenney would have won with or without Callaway which is why I don't think he was as deeply involved as some progressives are hoping. The thing that will make 17to85's head explode is most Albertans just don't care about this. It was a party leadership vote & not the election so it isn't flying as high on the radar as some want or hope. It's non news to most people here. From everything I have read & heard about this Callaway guy, who most Albertans don't know... he was the former President of the Wild Rose Party & a real piece of work. Not a nice man. I think he bullied & pushed around a lot of people as Wild Rose President. From what I understand, most UCP insiders aren't unhappy this is happening to him. Except the bitter Wild Rosers who lost their nominations before the elections or power with the new UCP. I have no doubt the guy is a crook & he's getting it now with nearly a hundred thousand dollars in fines.
  11. So have I. Way too expensive. It's great entertainment but still.
  12. Same scenario across the entire league. Here in Calgary game day prices are so high the walk up crowd doesn't exist anymore. Then add in high concession prices & the games are all on tv. People stay home. The CFL is for the most part sticking its head in the sand & ignoring the issues.
  13. What rules were that? I just saw a government that played by the rules the NDP established wherever else they governed.
  14. Really don't know what he did wrong there.
  15. Or he played well with the Bombers because there was more talent surrounding him on that line. He was paid huge bucks by the Lions & brought in to be a leader & I just don't see it. Looks like another great move by Hervey.
  16. I don't see how you can say that. The Lions have looked terrible in every game they have played.
  17. Whatever. He is a pylon. Along with the other 4 pylons. Foucault was the worst pylon of all of them. Truth is that line absolutely stinks.
  18. Well Kenney has only been Premier for 3 months so I doubt the economic situation is all his fault.
  19. We got Nichols for a 7th round pick which is equivalent to a bag of 7 practice balls. Thanks Ed!
  20. We were always told that Reilly would never have come here. Whether that's true or not... We were ba-a-a-a-a-a-a-d.... so bad at the time. One of the worst teams in CFL history that I doubt Reilly would have ever signed here.
  21. I like seeing Reilly & Chungh struggle. Chungh fits in well with that group of pylons in BC.
  22. You mean, like the fireman in the commercial where he complains that he has to shave everyday?
  23. Yeah, we do know what we're doing. It was time for the Spend Train with Notley as the engineer to be pulled into the station & put out of service. She was never going to win a 2nd term. You know the NDP were never going to get the economy moving again.
  24. Nothing is more boring than watching an NHL player being interviewed.
