I don't know why you think if he goes to another CFL team he'll be a starter. I'm beginning to think he's a Dan LeFevour type qb. Big, athletic, great in short yardage who can run but he can't pass consistently. When he was in for injury relief of Nichols he didn't look like he could generate any drives downfield.

I'm groovin' 1990 & our corners are Rod Hill & Less Browne.

Some of the discussion here is disturbing. If & when the time comes that charges are laid then we'll hear about it. Until then, why are we disparaging players characters? Questions like, What happened? Did Matthews start it? A teammate stabbed him? The Bombers & the cops are supressing charges until after the season so the team doesn't miss out on a Grey Cup? I remember 2016 when Stamps Mylan Hicks was murdered at a bar here in Calgary. I don't like when someone comes on here with a so called "story" acting like they have the inside scoop because a family member is a cop. Just to impress us. Maybe true. Maybe not. Well, not impressed. If it ever comes out the Bombers had anything to do with supressing charges & the Winnipeg Police agreed then heads should roll. And don't give me a bullshit story that this isn't what it's about as it sure as hell is.

He hasn't really shown he can be a starter. Yet.

Reilly would have to be willing to take a huge pay cut which I doubt. As it stands now, there's no way he falls into any other team's salary cap system. He's probably priced himself out of the market. The Lions may have to cut him.
-
The big question is what do the Lions do with Reilly? Does it make financial sense paying him $750,000 a season & still lose? Plus he'll be 34 soon. He's 3 or 4 years past any upside. Do you jettison a bunch of underperforming vets with big contracts & keep him? Or should he be the first to go & try to recruit someone younger & cheaper? That'll be one of the many dilemmas the Lions will have to sort out. ***Just an aside but I believe Nick Arbuckle may be a free agent next season.

You just never stop. Even a 3 day hospital stay & convalescing at home with the pain of a knee replacement is far, far better than having to read your continuos one take posts on Nichols. You don't seem to know how to talk about anything else. Glad I had a one week break.

No CFL contract is guaranteed so if the Lions want salary cap relief & to start from scratch next season that might be what I'd do. A total rebuild. They're stuck this season but I can see a lot of overpriced veterans getting their walking papers in the off season.

Imagine playing next to Foucault instead f Hardrick??? That is one shitty right tackle. OMFG.

As he counts his money seeing his bank account rise after every game.

I think he'll stay retired. Even he wouldn't want to touch The Architect's work.

The Architect: Ed Hervey
-
Hervey is the architect. HE should be fired. He has no business calling anyone out since he mismanaged the cap s badly.
-
Saw Foucault in that fight. Amazed he actually was fighting because he was being pushed all over the field all game long. He has to be the worst starting right tackle in the CFL. He gets his ass whipped every game. Gotta wonder WTH Hervey has built mismanaging the cap for the Lions. Over a million on Reilly & Chungh & no room to add players. Durant, another big off season signing has disappeared the way he did with the Stamps. Spent majorly on O free agency with no room to rebuild the D. Clueless Claybrooks in way over his head with his qb telling him when he'll play. And when he won't. This mess is on Hervey & he should be fired.

That video is damned annoying.

Ticket & concession prices. No local blackouts. -
He did that in Saskatchewan. Going back to his days in Saskatchewan, he's lost 13 straight.

At some point he came back & he was about to be fired. The story said that when he came back from sick leave that his CFL responsibilities were taken away & he was spending less & less time on the NFL as time went on. He could see the writing on the wall which is why he approached MLSE. Working for MLSE may mean further career opportunities for Schultz in the future. Perhaps management? -

So, after showing an empty chair on set for a year & a half like they were keeping the home fires burning for Schultz, TSN just fired him. I read a story on Argos website where he knew his time was coming to an end on TSN. Before his demise, Schultz approached MLSE to see if they were looking for an Argos radio broadcast analyst & it turned out they were. Jeff Johnson was leaving. Like, go figure TSN. -
Yeah, he'll have a long career with the Argos for sure.

More like desperate.
