  1. Congrats Noeller. May you have many years of happiness together.
  2. Just rattling your chains a bit.. LOL. I still think Nichols can get it done but my confidence that he can is greatly shaken. I'm not ready to give up on him yet, though. I also have come to realize that our HC is one of the most stubborn people out there. He'll continue to play Nichols, no matter how bad he plays & he won't play Streveler even if the team is up big or down big just to give him playing time. We have an offensive coordinator who goes for broke when the score is close then inexplicably goes back into his protective play calling shell & sits on 14 point leads. Meanwhile, our DC calls blitz packages & never varies from them even if the other qb recognizes & kills us. Or plays a soft zone & suddenly 350 yards passing is thrust upon us. I can't do a thing to stop what O'Shea does as a coach so why should I worry about it? Getting bent out of shape just seems so exhausting.
  3. Just so you know J5V, there are fans in Calgary that really don't like BLM. The feeling here is he's arrogant & self centred. He was under tremendous pressure to win last year based on the last 2 Grey Cups before it. I don't know what might have happened to that team had he lost a third. There are some that want Mitchell traded & to keep Arbuckle as the starter. Imagine what the Argos would give up to get him. So, every qb it seems has a segment of their fanbase that loves the backup better.
  4. But they play for other teams so why get all tied up in a knot over that? BLM lost 2 Grey Cups in a row he should have won. The GC loss to Hank was bad enough but to lose to a **** team like the Argos even with Ricky Ray was inexcusable. He has lost to Ottawa in Ottawa in the past in the season opener. Reilly's best days are behind him. He doesn't even look like a leader on the field anymore. No use wishing for something we don't have & the price to pay to get one of those qbs is way too much.
  5. It happens all the time. Teams go in overconfident & get their asses handed to them. In every sport. Nothing is guaranteed. That's why the game is played. No teams wins a championship "on paper". It's won on the field, the ice or the pitch.
  6. I don't think the guy was sightseeing or going to family BBQ's. Like you actually think that?
  7. Edmonton is fourth in the West.
  8. Every team is going to have a stinker. Or 2 in an 18 game schedule. We'll see what happens Thursday.
  9. With Dane Evans, how can Hamilton be a Tier 1 team?
  10. So, give us your rankings.
  11. **** happens. It's what they do after that counts. If they keep losing then maybe...Not ready to throw in the towel yet.
  12. I think inaccurate. We're Top Tier. We lost 2 games & the sky is falling.
  13. Or as bad as you think we are.
  14. Twenty eight innocent people murdered in El Paso & Dayton. I won't count the heartless bastard the cops killed in Dayton. May his soul burn in Hell for eternity. And the politicians on both sides chant their empty mantra everytime it happens... "Our thoughts & prayers. Our thoughts & prayers. Our thoughts & prayers". I'm Conservative & maybe a Republican if I was American but I sure hope the American people wake up & vote that ******* racist who incites hatred on twitter & his rallies out of office.
  15. Team bonding is important. Sometimes a team that's close can find a way to win. Just look at that mess in BC. That's no team. It's a bunch of individuals collecting paycheques. They sure play like it. So, I get O'Shea's point.
  16. Hey Skunk, just a question. Since you think what I said is funny. You really think Streveler is better than Arbuckle? I don't & I also don't think there's any way Big Chris could handle an offense the way the kid in Calgary has. Not a chance. He's still riding the Blue Bomber qb tricycle with training wheels because of our coaches. And you know what? You'll probably never find out if he can.
  17. Pipkin is athletic but that's about it. As a qb he really doesn't doo much.
  18. It'll be Arbuckle's call. Dickenson was singing Mitchell's praises as a veteran qb this week & how much knowledge he has as a veteran in the Stamps system as a qb. Dickenson said that there's no way he'll rest him further to save $$$ on salary. Once he's ready to go then he'll start. Arbuckle will go back to carrying a clipboard in a couple of weeks which is too bad. as I like seeing a young qb rise to the challenge. One thing is for sure, this will always be Mitchell's team.
  19. For a rookie he's doing okay. I doubt if Streveler could do what Arbuckle is doing. My fear isn't losing Streveler. My fear is the present brain trust will decide they'll keep Streveler & pass on other young qbs who might be able to do better. I will say that bringing in someone like Arbuckle would also mean the Bomber braintrust decides to move on from Matt & I don't think our HC & OC would do that unless he totally shats the bed between now & the end of the season. I can see them extending Nichols contract.
  20. Suspended but I thought he'd be back by now. Maybe he decided to leave for good?
  21. The more I think about it, the more I believe we really, really, really have to change coordinators next season. Offensively, things won't change with another year of LaPo. It's time for a change.
  22. Pipkin did what he always does. Loses.
  23. What's not to like about Arbuckle? He's a product of the Calgary Stampeders Quarterback Academy. He has got & continues to great coaching by one of the best in Dickenson. Now, he's p[icking up valuable playing time & gaining experience that he can build upon in the future. With Hufnagel as Dean of the football academy, Dickenson the Head Instructor & Dinwiddie as his assistant. If Arbuckle is a FA next season, there's no way he'll stay in Calgary just to play behind Mitchell. We should sign him if he's available.
