  1. That is the strangest looking man I've ever seen.
  2. Dieter wrote a book saying he was wrong & leaving was a mistake considering the talent the Bombers had at the time. He was remorseful & it was heartfelt. Fans can relate & he was forgiven but Harris will have to do the same. Maybe not write a book like Brock did but that would be interesting if he did. Harris will have to say he was sorry & the fans will forgive. Canadian Fullback Gerry James left the Bombers in 1963 after helping the Bombers win 4 Grey Cups. He was angry at the Bomber organization in general & Bud Grant in particular. He felt unappreciated & unwanted. He signed for more money to play with Saskatchewan but it was only for a year, maybe two. Even though he's a Blue Bomber alumni, I've read that he never reconciled with the team. He's one player that should be talked about more for his contributions but isn't. A player having a burr in his saddle doesn't help his cause.
  3. I agree. He'll be up on the WOF someday. I just wish he'd have gone out saying how proud he was to play in front of Bomber fans & donning that Bomber jersey. Thanking the Bombers for the opportunity instead of being petty & vindictive when he left. Pro football is a business. Most players don't get to go out on their own terms. Injuries, age & competition always come into the situation. My son Tyler blew out his hamstring in his left leg training in the off season between his junior & senior year at SFU. It may have cost him the starting qb position with the team. That happened in February & he wasn't ready to go when the season started in September. He only played sparingly his senior year which was a huge disappointment. That hamstring tear still bothers him today. He needs surgery but there's no rush. He would have tried harder to get on somewhere as a free agent or play in Europe but he couldn't run anymore. He wasn't ready to stop playing but the game was over for him. That's why he went into coaching. He could still stay in the game. Like he tells his qbs that he trains. To enjoy their time in the sun as most of them won't have a choice when the game tells them it's over. Happens to the greats all the time.
  4. I wish Harris well but man did he ever open his pie hole & burn bridges when he left here in February. He was a great back who helped us win 2 Grey Cups. He was one of the most loved player in Bomber history. The way he left was just sad. Now, it looks like he's just an over the hill journeyman pro who doesn't know when to retire. If the story is true that Harris is injured then he can't even practice anymore let alone play.
  5. That's the only thing I can think of. Pop a meniscus on the non kicking left.
  6. I hate to sound sexist but if TSN & the CFL want to resonate with the male demographic they desire then someone like Brodie Lawson in a major role in front of the camera should be a must.
  7. It's Brodie Lawson who should be back.
  8. Loser. Of course if he tows the car without permission he might be charged with auto theft.
  9. Have you noticed there's not a lot of name players being released. Just a whole lot of Rosies... errrr... nobodies.
  10. How can a punter hurt himself at practice?
  11. When Mike O'Shea decides to move on will Buck Pierce be the new head coach of the Bombers?
  12. Greg Ellingson
  13. As a fan, I really don't care anymore.
  14. Jim Thorpe wore #34 in 1971 & #5 in 1972. He caught 140 passes for 2,696 yards & 20 Touchdowns both seasons. He was Don Jonas deep threat & he made the most of it when he played here. He was a CFL Western Conference All Star in 1971 & 72. As well as an All Canadian receiver in 1971.
  15. Noeller, did you see that BC lefl tackle get totally dominated by that Rider rookie DE? He blew by that pylon like he was standing still. Then the Canuck sacked Michael O'Connor & cut him in half. Setting off a 10 minute celebration on the Rider bench afterwards. That was vintage 2013 Blue Bomber line blocking. That's what Nathan O'Rourke has in store for him this season. AND.. they're paying one of those slugs (we all know who) over $200,000 a year.
  16. That BC OL could play together for a century & they'd still be the worst in the CFL. You need talent. The OL is still a question mark. I don't think they're any better than last week.
  17. Absolutely they would have but why wouldn't they as they were legal representatives. Only lawyers get rich.
  18. No, I got my money back in full after donating to the Save Our Jets campaign in 1995. As far as season tickets go in the new arena, the project wasn't approved by City Council yet. So, tickets actually weren't for sale yet. Sadly, the City waited too long & dragged everything out when it came to the new building. They approved building a new arena for the Jets a day before then owner Barry Shenkarow announced the team was leaving for Phoenix. He had already sold the team.
  19. You're a huge Jets fan. What you're saying is you won't support then anymore?
  20. Brodie Lawson, the young woman broadcaster who did TNF on TSN & was laid off when the pandemic struck should be brought back. She's attractive & definitely would bring in more male viewers. Instead of being fired, she should have been given an even bigger role with TSN & football. Moves like that with the league & TSN are stupid & not well thought out. She'd have been a boon to the ratings. Still could be.
  21. That is a great idea that we know will never happen.
  22. Bierness reminds me of a former female claims supervisor I had when I was an adjuster here in Calgary back in the early 90's. I didn't care much for her either so maybe that's why I don't like Bierness on the panel. Back then, 30 years ago, the insurance business was 90% men in supervisory, middle & upper management. It was tough for a woman to break into that clique, I'll admit. So, what did my super do? She tried too hard being one of the boys. I get the same impression that Bierness is doing the same thing. Trying too hard to be one of the boys on the panel. It's not working. Yeah, I forgot about Randorf but he's at Sportsnet doing hockey. That is where he always should have been. An in studio host which would have suited his strengths. Instead they stuck him in the booth. He never improved. He just stagnated for two decades. How was that even possible?
  23. It looked very claustrophobic like playing in a coffin.
