Perhaps he was suicidal? Maybe he wanted to die & take somebody with him. That we will never know. The RCMP can put the details of the accident together. The autopsy report can give us a toxicology report. They may decide to take samples of Dalke's brain to study to see if he had CTE. However, they'll never be able to know what he was thinking when he was killed.

Derek Taylor's stats can be very annoying at times. this is one of them. You win football games by winning field position. Not by punting on thirs down. A convert is more of a guarantee than going for 2. I don't care what Taylor's stats say. How many Super Bowls has Dan Campbell won in Detroit going for it on 4th down rather than punting or kicking a field goal?? Not really. Theoretically you could go for it twelev times in a row before you have a successful conversion & during that time lose 3 or 4 close game before you win. No head coach in his right mind would risk a successful season just to prove a point. Well, maybe Dan Campbell would,

Well, this didn't age well. Fajardo throws for 510 yards & four touchdowns. Lol.

It's really hard to believe the disrespect Cody Fajardo gets around here. Just like Trevor Harris did until he won a Grey Cup.

Yeah. OL just don't lose it at 33. OL depend on one another to get it done with traps , cut blocks, zone blocking & tandem blocking. That Lions unit may be the worst in the CFL. Allen is the new guy on campus there so it's easy to make him the scapegoat.

depends on how fast he's picked up onn reading CFL defenses. We've all seen qbs that come up here & just don't get it. Like Caleb Evans, Dakota Prukop & Jake Dolegala.

I think he does the tour like Rourke & E;lgersma do. Eventually, he'll get desperate if he truly wants to play... I think he'd play in the UFL before the CFL. Our stupid rookie salary cap will keep hin=m way. A name player who was a Heisman Finalist comes up here to the CFL wanting to prove himself by playing for $75000 Canadian? Never happen. Where would Pavia fit in here? They'd have to cut Perkins.

Lol. Zach knows that competition goes on everyday as well. He probably felt the same way about the starting qb before him when he took over the Argos in 2013 or 14. Likely Ricky Ray when he was injured. "I respect the guy but..."

That is a good idea but the problem is then we,d have 4 Americans starting on the OL. Broxton, Bryant, Elsbury & Allen which would screw with the ratio. . I was thinking that Broxton moves to LT & Broxton to RT. Bryant would be out. As a backup maybe.

Yep, which is the problem teams have put themselves in with QB3 designated as short yardage,

Dejon Allen was cut by BC. Think the Trinity will bring him on? They could move Jerrel Broxton to LT & put Allen at RT which would be an instant improvement. But probably not.

Cold take: Can we discuss non sequitors again. Dru Brown was at practice today but the price of oil rose again.

I've read that Walters uses a grid for every position. The money is allocated based on that grid. If player are offered more he won't pay. Period. Don't know if it's true.

Trinity will never bring anyone in to challenge their guys.

Questions that keep you up at night. Ponder, ponder, ponder.

My understanding he was returning home from Leduc to Regina after the team.s bye. I'm of the same opinion, there's no way Dalke should be honoured until we know more about what happened & if he had drugs &/or alcohol in his system at the crash. However, the Riders will do what they want to do. Was Dalke suicidal? Did he want to be killed? We'll probably never know that but if he had CTE that might go a long way in explaining what happened.

I don't think that'll happen, He has some incredible weapons to work with yet he's 2-4. He broke Ricky Ray's TD to interception record last game but who cares as he still lost. That record is only important if you win. It means absolutely nothing if you lose.

The CFL put the brakes on young 9 qbs actually being devloped years ago. Instead, we have guys only doing short yardage at QB3 who can run. However, most don't have the ability to run an actual offense & throw the ball. That's 90 qbs that the league never tried to develop in the past decade. I think it would also speak to how bad our acouting system is league wide if we did have actual 90 young qbs with promise come thru development & only 2 or 3 ever became starters. Then, you have to look & say what are teams doing scouting qbs? Well, as a league the CFL is in a real jam now looking at who backs up the starters at qb & if they can actually play. Every team has a short yardage qb usually at #3.

As much as Noeller doesn't understand this, I'm sad that this happened. Rourke is such a talent. However, the CFL is their worst enemy. Thy morphed a development position (QB3) that should be used for developing qbs as now they use that position as short yardage qbs... Instead, we employ slugs who can run but can't throw to get us first down or TD's in short yardage. The result is a shortage of good young qbs with potential being developed. Teams just can't find competent players to take the place of starters who get hurt. If it was up to me, I'd get rid of these short yardage qbs in favour of promising young qbs who can actually play the position. If the CFL wants to run short yardage then use a running back under Center.

Yep. T Burg said Brown made 1 more play than Maier???

mario Alford was cut by the Als. Would the Trinity bring him in? I won't hold my breath.

Eli finally gets his chance to start & he has an ankle injury he suffered in training camp that won't heal. I mean, c'mon. Move on. He's just wasting a roater spot. Bring in another OL There has to be OLon the PR of other teams we can sign.

It takes more to win than just pinning winning & losing on the qb. Collectively, our receiving corps is the worst in the CFL for the second year in a row, The Trinity could have signed one more impact as there were a few out there. They chose not to. Condell doesn't use Oliveira the way he should, Our OL is old & getting beat like a dead horse. Bryant should have been told it's time to pack it in.

A couple of hits & upset his timing & he crumbles.

Just enjoy the win & quit finding something to complain about. A beautiful win & an ugly win count the same in the stanings... two points. Trinity...
