In Calgary it's an ownership issue. Murray Edwards doesn't care. He spends little money on the team. It would be a good thing if he sold the team. Give us some examples.

You can manipulate stats to suit any situation or idea. Bottom line is he missed & that's the bottom line. He wasn't good enough. We all knew he was the weak link on this team & he proved us right.

I was bussing tables on a very busy Saturday night. I did one table too many & my tub was overflowing & really heavy. My hands were a little greasy from all the work. I started for the kitchen but I knew I'd never make it. I dropped that heavy bus tub right in the middle of the dining area. The restaurant was loud with people eating & carrying on. The whole place went quiet & then people started talking again. I cleaned up the mess absolutely mortified. Then I got hauled into the manager's office where he tore a strip off me for breaking dishes. What a bad night that was. Never did that again.

No, I'm serious. You can't put more into it depending on yardage as a kicker. You'll end up punching the ball. Shanking it. Or kicking a line drive. It has to be the same everytime. Now, things like angle, wind & field conditions play into that. But the actual kick is always the same. So, I'm talking about consistency.

Grew up in a strongly conservative household in Winnipeg. My dad was a small business owner. He owned an auto body shop in St. Boniface right next door to the Norwood Hotel on Marion Street. My dad didn't like the NDP. Thought they were bad for business & just wanted to tax & spend taxpayer's money. He admired Duff Roblin & John Diefenbaker. So, when Ed Schreyer's NDP beat the Conservatives in Manitoba I was 14 & the next few years our house was full of conversation about how bad the NDP was. Like I said, Voting NDP for me is a huge geological shift. If you lived here you'd cringe having to vote for Danielle Smith. You can't trust her as she flip flops on things she said on talk radio. We have hit the bottom of the barrell here in Alberta. Oh yeah. For sure.

Yeah, that would be a good analogy. Lol. Truthfully, Lunsford was a mean spirited SOB who didn't like to be crossed. He ran a lot of great players out of town. In particular, supertars like Dave Raimey, Mack Heron, Jim Thorpe, Bernie Ruoff & Don Jonas.

It's not her in particular. She's NDP. I'm leaning more & more to voting NDP because I don't like Danielle Smith either. I don't like her health spending account idea. I don't believe that she'll suddenly stop with her idea of making people pay to see their doctor. I don't trust her. I also don't think she cares about anyone but herself. I could go on about her talking to that POS Pawloski & having her photo taken with trucker convoy people. Voting NDP even though I don't like them is a huge change for me politically. I have always voted conservative every federal & provincial election since I turned 18. I'm certainly torn ideologically.

Now, with Castillo here I can relax a bit. When Lieghhio kicks, I don't have to cross my fingers, close my eyes & say out loud anymore, "C'mon! C'mon!" And when he'd miss a convert or easy FG, I'd be yelling, "#@%^&*!!! I knew it! I knew it!!" My stress level should be a lot less much like when Jason Medlock was our kicker. He just had this aura of confidence around him that his teammates & fans could sense. With Lieghhio, he always seemed to be in panic mode half the time.

I don't love Rachel Notley. I don't love Danielle Smith. She's a nutbar.

You didn't live thru the Earl Lunsford years. Other than a few good years under Jim Spavital, Bud Riley & ray Jauch, it was mostly dismal. Any player he didn't like or he felt crossed him he got rid of because his huge ego would be offended. Basically 15 years of mediocrity. He was hired as Stamps GM in the mid 80's & his teams there were even worse.
