Now, I think I understand how my dad felt when he got older. He had a huge collection of 78 records going back to the 1930's. Every so often when I was a teen, I'd put them on our old record player & listen to them. Those musicians he used to listen & dance to as a young man during the Depression & through World War 2 all were dying off in the 50's & into the 70's just like the rock stars & bands we listened to. It is sad.

How many reporters cover the Bombers in the media? Three or four? And the ones that do don't want to make waves & lose access to the Bombers hence the softball questions & timid approach. There are no more Jack Mathesons out there covering the Bombers holding the GM & head Coach feet to the fire. It's like that here in Calgary. Two writers working part time for Postmedia write for both the Calgary Herald & Sun. They also cover the Flames. Then there's the radio broadcast crew & not much else. The Stamps like the Bombers control the media & the message.

Never got into this show. I loved the old show. Tom Selleck WAS Thomas Magnum. Jay Hernandez wasn't. In the old series, Higgins protected & managed Robin Masters property. He wasn't a woman. He wasn't a love interest for Magnum. He was his foil. Higgins never liked Magnum at first but over the series he begrudgingly respected him & they became friends. Some of the best scenes in the old series was the interaction between them. I tried watching the new series but just couldn't get into it. They would have been better off to have just made another Hawaiian Private Eye series. Selleck wisely stayed away from the new Magnum as he is busy with Blue Bloods.
