  1. Fajardo won the Als a Grey Cup. They wouldn't get rid of him.
  2. I feel exactly the same way you do about Powell. The kid has that certain something that the other young starting qbs in this league don't have. The kid has confidence. Kind of reminds me of BLM a decade ago.
  3. I would suspect Hawkeye Pierce isn't as fast putting the moves on some unsuspecting nurse in the supply room like he was fifty years ago. I read somewhwere that Gary Burghoff was despised by his cast members. That he was dour in his attitude & difficult to work with. I think the laughing face from bustamente was for my first comment about Hawkey Pierce's sexual prowess. .
  4. I wonder about Mitchell. he loves Calgary but there's no future living there. I don't know if he wants to move to Toronto to work for TSN. I personally think his playing days are over. If I was Milanovich, I'd be excitred at the prospect of developing Taylor Powell. he was the guy that should have been playing all along but like O'Shea here with his wacky roster moves, Steinhauer did the same thing with the Ti Cats. Benched Powell for the 2 injury prone & inconsistent other guys. If I was a Hamilton fan, today I'd be singing "Happy Days are here again" with Steinhauer kicked upstairs & Milanovich taking over as HC.
  5. How can it be called a M*A*S*H reunion when most of the cast members are dead? It's a special about M*A*S*H.
  6. Why would you think the Als would be interested in Brown?
  7. So, you're not always right. Will wonders never cease? It would be nice if O'Shea answered to someone for his roster goofs & we got a new DC.
  8. I think Malveux weasn't as bad as you made him out to be. He ended up in Winnipeg. Anderson was a POS. A real Big Mouth. He incurred the wrath of John Hufnagel in 2011. I went to the first day of Stamps training camp at McMahon Stadium. Anderson was chirping & chirping constantly the whole practice. It was distracting how his voice carried inside the stadium. The Stamps had a shitty practice & Huff was furious at the lack of effort & Anderson mouthing off. With about 45 minutes left in practice, Huff called the team together & told them they were going to run until practice was over. As they were running, Anderson was yelling at Huff, "Hey Coach, I can do this all day. All day. I can do this all day. All day". Finally, Hufnagel cut practice short & sent the team inside. I'm sure he tore a strip off them in the locker room. Shortly thereafter, I remember Huff suspended Anderson & he ended up in Montreal where he played the final 10 games of the season. His days as a Stampeder were over. What an *******. I think everyone was glad to see him go.
  9. He joined Paul McCartney & Wings as a guitarist in 1972 & was with Paul for years. It was McCartney who founded the band & not Laine. He also had a hit as lead singer with the Moody Blues in 1965 with Go Now when they were a blues band before Justin Hayward & John Lodge joined & changed them into a prog rock band in the late 60's.
  10. Nah, it wasn't Malveaux. You guys are thinking about Dwight Anderson, the mouthy corner with the Stamps when they won the GC in 2008. He wore dreads & just wouldn't shut up. Hufnagel grew tired of his act & got rid of him.
  11. He's had some problems since his playing days from what I've heard. Don't know if they're true so that's all I can really say.
  12. Walker played for the Stamps, Toronto & Hamilton, He still lives in Calgary. His play really tailed off after he left Calgary just like Mark McDonald. Walker was a Western Conference All Star in 1981 at Corner. Pretty good punt returner as well. If you look at McDonald's stats with the Bombers, he would have been an all star if his numbers were for one season & not spread out over 3. He was underused but still pretty good. I'll be honest, when McDonald played, I always felt that there had to be somebody out there as a receiver who was better.
  13. What time was that? The Ti Cats think Orlondo Steinhauer is this almost God Like figure. That he was some kind a cracker jack HC. A coaching guru. Yet, he didn't win anything. So, Steinhauer had a 15 win season in 2019. Who cares?? The Bombers killed the Ti Cats twice in the Grey Cup & he's had two losing seasons since as a coach. If any coach is overrated, it's Steinhauer.
  14. The Niners survived the initial onslaught. Had the Eagles scored two touchdowns rather than two field goals the game would have had a different outcome. Brock Purdy is unflappable. He looks the same being down or up 14 points or up. The guy is already a pretty good qb with just two years as a starter. He'll only get better.
  15. That bridge has been rebuilt. Only some demented Bomber fans would hold a grudge 40 years later. Did you ever read his book? Even though he went on to play in the NFL with the Rams, he said he made a huge mistake leaving Winnipeg. That he regrets that whole situation in 1983 & how it went down. He realized that had he have stayed & signed a new contract that he might have been a Grey Cup champion.
  16. McDonald could make some nice catches & he played opposite Mike Holmes in the mid to late 70's. But he was small. And he could be inconsistent at times. make a great catch & then drop a ball right into his hands. I think he was always considered a temporary stop gap type of receiver. That he would start until the Bombers found someone better. As a Bomber he made 79 catches for 1,313 yards & 4 touchdowns between 1975-77. After he left Winnipeg he played for the Stamps, Saskatchewan & Toronto, He had only 4 catches for 45 yards from 1976-78 with those 3 teams. At 5'10 & 170 lbs the physicality of the game finally caught up with him.
  17. Walker came on as the season progressed. It's up to Walters to sign another Steve Richardson type.
  18. Hurts is top flight. The Eagles will play the 49ers for the NFC Championship. Why do we have to be subjected to even more of that idiot Davis Sanchez & the Unknown Woman beside him om NFL broadcasts?
  19. Selleck is nearly 80 so I thought 15 seasons would be a good send off. It'll be interesting how they say goodbye with the characters. Will Jamie get a big promotion on his way to the Commissioner's chair? Will Danny find a love interest & get remarried? Will Erin set her sites on being District Attorney? I expect Frank will retire & ride off into the sunset.
  20. Benard played for the Bombers from 1974-77. He was a DB. He played in the same defensive backfield as Peter Ribbins.
  21. Huck became a lawyer. He worked at my friend's father's law firm in Winnipeg after his hockey career ended. His father also was Peter Warren's lawyer as well as represented CJOB.
  22. Not saying he isn't a nice guy but he wasn't a very good receiver. Brock would hit him in the hands & he'd drop the ball.
  23. In late October, the Niners went 0-3. Tye Seahawks were sitting in first place in the NFC West. The Niners looked awful. Every team has injuries to deal with & ups & downs during the season. I'm not an Eagles fan but they're very good.
  24. They're 10-2. Best record in the NFL. Anyone who takes the Eagles lightly deserves to lose.
  25. Screw the Riders & their fans. They don't care about us. I won't care about them.
